  • Sir Matt Busby said this about Johnny "Irishman" Giles: "Selling him to Leeds, not seeing his potential as a midfield player, was my greatest mistake in football."

Say what you like, this was an incredibly good football team. No player on this team was any worse than Roy Keane or Eric Cantona. Just a shame mud sticks.

  • At that time LU had the reputation of being the dirtiest team in the league, i was so glad chelsea beat them in the FA cup 1970, (the rematch at old trafford) Was one of the roughest games of football i have ever seen, Just recently referee David Elleray reviewed the match and said if that game was played today,in that manner the 2 sides would have received six red cards and twenty yellows between them, majority of which would have gone to LU....

  • old big hair

  • Maybe things woud have been different if Peter Taylor stuck with Clough when he managed Leeds United

  • Ι ΑΜ Α FOOTBALL FAN FROM GREECE.I READ THE BOOK AND A FEW MONTHS LATER SAW THE FILM.I HONESTLY DID NOT BELIEVE THAT THE MOVIE COULD BE BETTER THAN THE BOOK BUT IT REALLY IS.MICHAEL SHEEN IS A GREAT ACTOR

  • I am a Manchester United fan born and Bred, but I acknowledge that Brain Clough is one of Britian's greatest ever managers. Sir Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Jock Stein, Alf Ramsey and of course, Brian Clough. All in the same league.

  • @MrStrawhatlegend Bill Nicholson?

  • @thfcdouble61 How could i forget? The man who put Spurs into the history books with that double winning team. Yup, him to.

  • all of you who wish to insult LUFC are actually falling into that age old trap! You are either ignorant to the fact that Revie's boys played as a team.hard, skillfull, very skillfull, nasty, and very clever, ahead of there time!..OR you just wished you could have had one or two of them in your team.WOW! we were good.

  • 'Old Bighead' let his personal feelings get the better of him and didn't focus on the task in hand.he was so intent on getting one over 'The Don' that instead of dealing with things in a rational manner he very quickly managed to piss everyone off.His style of management obviously worked that is a fact, but on this occasion he couldn't help himself,THAT was his downfall.A different approach could have bought success.

The term 'A bull in a china shop' springs to mind.

  • @worldchallenge2011 Colm meaney played don revie, a great actor born and breed in dublin ireland

  • Sheen did a hell of a job as cloughie!

  • Throw your pots and pans in the biggest dustbin hahahahaha Michael Sheen is a top quality actor!

  • ah, cut too early. great line coming up there where he says some good stuff

  • @stats79 - well you have to cut somewhere, the whole film's full of great lines!

  • @worldchallenge2011 the only ppl who think leeds weren't dirty scum are leeds fans...

  • can someone call me the name of the song that is at the end of the movie

  • Awesome talent!

  • As you have not responded to my point, i can only assume that you accept it, or you dont have evidence to point to the contrary. Once again, thank you, if only all arguements were this easy to wine, aye?.

  • Pretty sure Forest's Cohen will agree... Suppose today's official was a Don Revie fan.

  • thats unlikey to EVER be broken, as it was 134,000. only 4000 were leeds supporters.

no other team can come close to matching this, and just to prove how special and great the celtic support is, we also have the british club game record too, coincedently also at Hampden park (the original hame of football) against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final (the worlds oldest football trophy) in 1937.

there were 147,000 crammed in the famous stadium for that one. . .

    THERES ONLY ONE CELTIC, CELTIC#1...

  • But little did they,or the english media know, that Celtic were ten times the team they were, our characters were just too skillfull and smart for them, wee jinky (R.I.P.) made them eat there words when he equalised to make the score 2-1 on aggregate and send Celtic to their 2nd European Cup final in 3 years. fuck leeds. . . hope yous enjoy the division yous are in now.

and p.s. - the attendance that night at Hampden (the worlds oldest fitba stadium) is a european record.

  • ya gotta love it when in leeds, as champions of england came up to play Celtic, the Champions of Scotland in 1970, in the 2nd leg of the first real Battle Of Britain.

i mean they already lost to the Bhoys 1-0 at elland road, but their arrogance knew NO boundries, giving it the lobster. they must have thought they were right when bremner scored a cracker to make it 1-0, ha ha, they must have thought then and there that they were goin to pull through and beat the Mighty Celtic to make the final.

  • @mcRioRemedy alas, let us compare celtics record with recent encounters against English sides shall we, because of course, you did such a good job on Arsenal in the champions league qualifier, but if you like, you are welcome to continue living in the 70's, without having to look at the real footballing world of today, where celtic play no meaningful part whatsoever.

  • @Orbi90 And the win ensures they become the first English side in nearly 26 years to beat Celtic on their own ground. The last team to do so was Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest. (BBC SPORT)

and you were saying? - know your facts before you start talking shite you stupid arrogant lil prick.

  • @mcRioRemedy You seemed to have both, missed my point, yet proven it to be correct. The point i made was that Celtic no longer compete on the international stage and can only go on past glories, your response seems to back up my arguement, thank you.

  • @Orbi90 what was your point? you didnt even make 1 you mug, you were just blethering on about something you know nothing about. if you want educated then i feel its my duty to educate stupid people like you - here we go :

recent encounters, ie, the last ten years,

blackburn - beat them home and away

liverpool - beat them at anfield and knocked them out of cup

man u - beat them in the champions league

you picked up on the one defeat that arsenal gave us in a qualifying match, so whats your point

  • @mcRioRemedy Ill speak plainly for you to really understand, so you dont have to "educated" me. My point is this, Celtic are no longer a force in football, they play in a poor league, and have poor players. One of your top goal scorers is from Scunthorpe. Celtic, are much like thier fans, an abomination, and no im not a bluenose, i just live in the 21st century.

  • @Orbi90 you proved youreslf to be a right tool. you clearly know NOTHING about the game. run along now, mummies calling you for you supper

    CELTIC #1

  • @Orbi90 one of our top scorers is from scunthorpe? and what?

our top scorer is from hibs, so what?

what does it matter were they are from? its what they do now and they both score.

hooper has hit 3 against rangers this season.

every single one of our team is an international.

maybe we werent in the champions league this season, but we will be next, so shut up, im a football supporter and season ticket holder,

i have a right to comment, i have football knowlegde, you dont. . .

  • @Orbi90 hooper was the top scorer in the championship last season (the 5th biggest league in europe) and we got him for a bargain price of 2,5 million, because we have great scouts, and carroll who was 2nd top scorer in the championship went to liverpool for 35million. so as you can see, your point isnt valid, its ridiculous, just like your knowledge off the game.

  • Shows Leeds at they prime, since then they have just gone down and down and down, maybe they will be back one day but nobody in this country will help them one bit.

Most hated team in England, no respect for anyone so no respect for Leeds, Leeds united were on the verge of being a great club but now naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nothing anymore sorry :)

  • i asked a manchester united supporter from the 50's if leeds was really like that and his responce, yes, they were bloody ruthless and a shame to football.

  • Marching on Together.

  • cool movie..check this at webmovietube

  • That's fake, Al Capone never played Football in England.

  • This is so bad it's funny.. John Giles towering over Billy Bremner! the book was a load of nonsense, putting words into peoples mouths that were never said. John Giles was right to sue- and if Clough or Revie were alive they'd sue too. That Leeds team were a proper team- could handle themselves, but by God they could play a bit too.

  • Leeds United .......what have they ever won since ???? Nothing at all thats what, as they were a cheating bunch of thugs and with the changes to the law now can't win games as they get caught cheating.

As a Derby supporter i am glad he never stayed long at Leeds otherwise they may have become a big club and won something.

    "Sheep-shag Army" !!!!

  • @ramsmad1963 look at ur history idiot, they've won plenty since

  • @ramsmad1963 They won the Division one in 1992.

  • @xLetsColour what the Div 1 Title in 1992 thats almost 20 years ago :) even we have won that during since 1990. Leeds united are a scumbag club and hated even more than ManUre and do you know why ? because your fans are so full of shit they are bad winner and even worse losers. They know nothing about the word SPORTING, and to be honest i am so glad you sacked Brian (GOD) Clough or you would have won everything.

As that fat twat that dumped you for the England job bet he couldn't wait to go!

  • i don't know why Leeds sacked clough because history will tell u that after Leeds -clough managed Nottingham forest to 2 European cup wins back to back and what happened to Don Revie .... ill tell you - He managed England and totally flunked and got told off for selling the story of his resignation from the job to the daily mail and they accused him of acting selfishly and disloyally and he managed other teams such as the UAE and didn't do well , so who had the last laugh.... Mr clough himself

  • @AlexDjumic we did win the european cup of 1975 but since the ref was paid off, Munich won it. It was proven he had been involved in match fixing and was banned from refeering, but UEFA said since they couldn't prove it was munich who paid him off the still won it. that is why we sing We are Champions, Champions of Europe because since Munich unfairly won it, that wud make every winner since 1975 void and Leeds wud still be champions of europe

  • @AlexDjumic and not only is the England job one of if not the hardest job in football he had a squad full of injuries and suspensions ect who couldn't quallify for a world cup with everyone back home expecting them to win it. No one cud have succeded in the england job during revie era. And Clough died a drunk, homophobic (luck up the worlds first gay footballer who Clough banned from entering the training ground) man. And everyone always hated Revie coz of his success specially the tabloids.

  • @98raza20 Revie was a brilliant club manager, but needed to be training with his players every week

-in those days as England manager this just did not happen

-though England get-togethers more frequent now, and though Clough in his own way was also an excellent coach, would not done any better as England manager for the same reasons as Revie failed-because Clough with his methods, for sucess, also needed to be with his players week in week out

  • THIS SCENE NEVER HAPPENDED, JOHNNY GILES SAID IT DIDN'T AND SAID THE BOOK AND FILM MADE UP MOST OF THE STUFF!!! PLUS THE CLOUGH IS A NOB WHO THE FUCK STARTS A FEUD BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SHAKE HIS HAND!!! YEARS CLOUGH HATED REVIE BECAUSE OF THE FATC REVIE DIDN'T SKAKE HIS HAND 3 WORD: PERFETIC LITTLE MAN.

  • @98raza20 its spelt pathetic* you chav, also leeds deliberately injured his european cup semi-final team on purpose 3 days beofe their game with juventus. learn your facts fool

  • @aZuRaaGaming what you watch the movie and think you know what your on about? Leeds didn't deliberatley injure his team, he chose to play to play his best first team in a match where there pitch was soaked to the point it was a mud bath in an era of english football where it was rough playing from all teams (not just Leeds ever team) before a big European match a retard could tell you that people were going to get injured but he still did it. anyway he hated Don Revie before that match.

  • @98raza20 no because i live in nottingham and brian clough is my favourite manager is why i think i know what im on about, i know he hated him before, mainly because don revie was a cunt, and his team were dirty bastards.

  • @aZuRaaGaming yh i have a broken hand which affects the way i type for every typo to go back and correct it wud take me hours. and last time i checked chavs don't study for degrees in chemistry.

  • @98raza20 one, the film and book is a FICTIONAL story based on facts so I didn't have to be real or not, it is to create the effect Clough had on the Leeds team when starting. Oh and 2, spelt *Pathetic. learn to spell before you insult others.

  • @98raza20 Revie was a fat useless cunt who played football the way the cray twins ran protection through being a bigger thug than the others, no skill no plans just kick shit out of the other team and then score some goals. Giles was a useless fuckin thug too and that little twat Billy Bremner, as for numan hunter don't get me started on that useless fucker.

Bunch of thugs lead by a fat useless thug who when had a chance blew it. Clough won 2 European trophies Revie won FUCK ALL !

  • This is why he lasted 44 days to many

  • Brian Clough was a legend !

  • beaten home and away by stein's celtic in 1970 were dirty leeds.

stein is said to have entered the celtic dressing room pre match at elland road and told his players, "i just bumped into don revie, the man is absolutely shitting himself. if he's shitting himself what do you think his players will be like?" . turned out don had reason to be. norman hunter is still walking about hampden park looking for jimmy johnstone

  • craig charles at 0:31 secs

  • @swiggsy1994

    thats stephen graham

how can you think its craig charles

    craig charles is black lol

  • @brenchlylad2 My dad grew up watching the same Leeds team and said exactly the same to me about a keeper. Although I grew up on the Kop supporting Liverpool I also saw videos of the great Leeds team and some of the football they played was mind blowing. One of my dads all time favourate payers is Eddie Gray who he says was very underrated and a fantastic winger.

  • Here's a personal Cloughie story.

Forest were playing Bristol Rovers at home and about to lose their unbeaten run.. Forest were 1:0 down at half time. They were late coming out for the second hald and when they did the team were all around Gary Birtles patting and talking to him

Forest finished 4:1 winners and Birtles scored a hat trick

I don't know what Cloughie had said in the dressing room but we should bottle it. Birtles was awesome in the 2nd half

    Now that's management.

  • This actor is a genius. Pure, excellent genius. Love him :)

  • love this film! it makes me hate leeds even more than i already did

  • @saraaahplum and from the whole of leeds .. fuck you

  • @saraaahplum why would u hate leeds there a great club just got back from elland road about half an hour ago against norwich the atmosphere was amazing and the norwich fans didnt get any shit from leeds fans dont beleive everything u here on leeds...

  • @saraaahplum i suggest people start actually learning the facts then rather than believing what can only be described as fiction in a film

  • I love this :)

  • My law teacher also ' degraded' us during his lectures which indirectly motivated us to work harder

  • wanker

  • Look at his lips when he sasy flippin lol.

  • @FootballGearTV And 'dirty beggars'.

  • the guy who plays billie bremner looks nothing like him lol

  • @19189073 leeds are a sleeping giant

  • i hope roy hodgson doesnt do that

  • "Flippin" dustbin? "Bloomin" cheating? Dirty "beggers"?

  • @rpadair wat u talking about were Championship

  • I am not massively into Football. But I still enjoyed this film. Stephen Graham (Billy Bremner). A legde, he wasalso in Snatch and This Is England.

  • at the end of the day clough was a cunt

  • In the film he uses the f word a lot. Was that just for cinema effect or did clough use the f word that much. I got the impression he didn't use that much bad language

  • i seen this for the first time yesterday i missed it on tv i never kbew it was on so i watched it on bbc iplayer.its a great movie but some of it is not true like they added a lot of shit that was not true in cloughs interview with revie.watch the reallife 1 to see what am on about.also the bit in this where the players make a joke about clough scoring 254 league goals in 274 games.i don't see why they think he was lying or whatever as there old enough to have seen him play in the 50s.

  • The Leeds players should have spotted that underneath the criticisms he was giving them real encouragement and praise. It was no secret that Clough hated 'the Leeds way' at that point so what did they expect? None of these players have since accepted that they could have tried to listen to his wider message - to play the game more attractively. And he was right - Liverpool dominated at home and abroad for the next fifteen years through mostly playing attractive football while Leeds disappeared.

  • @CarlosBacardi

I love Clough but he was ignorant here.

ALL he had to do was say "Guys I know you are talented players capable of winning even more games by playing attractive attacking Football but I don't want any unnecessary bookings or gamemanship.

Go and show Europe what a great bunch of players you really are!"

They would have been eaten out of his hands.

  • All because the great Don Revie dint shake his hand ha ha dirty leeds and love it ON ON ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have this on DVD, and obviously they have dubbed or re-recorded the scene with Brian using less colourful language than is used on the DVD.

  • CLOUGH WAS A COCKY FACE HIS ASSAISTANT TAYLOR WAS THE BRAINS TAYLOR WON THE CUPS NOT CLOUGH

  • @98raza20 yeah cos you were there weren't you you wanker

  • @98raza20 thats not true they were great together taylor kept clough inline but.and taylor failed on his own just like clough did at leeds.

  • IF I WAS BILLY BREM I WUD OF PUNCHED HIM. WHAT A PETTY LITTLE MAN. U KNOW HE BURNT KING REVIES FURNTURE FROM HIS OFFICE IN THE CAR PARK, PETTY JEOLOUS LITTLE MAN. LEEDS TILL I DIE RIP REVIE AND THE GOLDEN SQUAD

  • @98raza20 please learn to spell. People generally don't respect the mindless ramblings of retards

  • @98raza20 you just dont like to hear the truth you ignorant little cunt

  • @98raza20

U KNOW HE BURNT KING REVIES FURNTURE FROM HIS OFFICE IN THE CAR PARK,

Thats not true, it was made up in the book. Both are great men from the same area (Middlesborough).

  • where can u watch the full movie of this online??

  • @wolvesfansupermick just go to movie links and type in the damned united

  • I saw this in the theater, I have to say Michael Sheen's Cloughie is dead on, but the theme that he put into it: overriding ambition, ego, etc. its like this is finally a real football film. for real football fans. No more cliched junk. Filmakers are trying to respect that element when making pictures like this.

  • this film was amazing, i saw it in the cinema and now have it on DVD. British film making at its finest. Michael sheen is amazing.

  • lol 2010 and leeds are still cheating scum

  • @ps2peter WAY! all you fucking leeds fans should read this! lol

  • @ps2peter Leeds Forever

  • @ps2peter bollocks

  • to all the cloughie lovers there one thing he wanted the most was to become the england manager and that never happend it never happend because he was an outspoken pisshead and uncle don revie became england manager

clough would have had traded the European cup to become manager of england

and he was jack shit without taylor who was the brains of the duo. m.o.t

  • Incredible actor. One hell of a very brilliant film.

  • lol,...great management style.

  • Great portrayal Michael you are the greatest.

  • To Billy Bremner...I want good clean attractive football, starting next week at the Charity Shield...So what did Billy do?

He kicked fuck out of Kevin Keegan and they both got sent off...LMAO.

What I really wanted to say was, this film is inaccurate and none of the players lokk remotely like the Leeds players.

Plus Cloughie appears to have a North east Accent, and he was a Yorkshire man.

  • mr billy bremmer would have kicked cloughs guts out,if he spoke to him,or about leeds united like that, probably why clough lasted a short time at leeds.

  • If anyone would like to get their story of when they met Cloughie in a new book, please get in touch and drop me a line

  • ..the fuck is a geordie? and i had no idea football was this/that dirty

  • I love this bit - my favourite bit of the film - aswell as 'you can't fire me, I'm Brian Clough!'

    My message tone too! lol

  • This speech fucked up Cloughie's Leeds Utd career from the start!!

  • CHAMPIONS GALATASARAY !!!

  • @mk471329 CONGRATS ON UR TURK LEAGUE NO1 CARES U FAILURE

  • sånn skal d låte

  • Johnny Giles has become a Giant, all of a sudden? lol

  • @SsrfLondon

Johhny Giles was always a giant....he just wasn't very tall.

  • @SsrfLondon

prolly had him standing on a stool so he could see over the grass

  • Superb acting!!!

  • Michael Sheen is one of the best actors ever! Never mind Wales :)

  • Sheen is one of the best Welsh actors in a long while.

  • Great British film and one of the best and most versitile Welsh actors in Britain...G...

  • Why does the actor portray Clough with a Geordie accent. The man came from Yorkshire and while that area of Yorkshire has more Geordie elements in its accent, it's not Geordie and it should be portrayed properly.

  • Beery USA. That's not a Geordie accent. Listen to the real Clough on youtube. Clough came from Middlesborough.Cities often have different accents from the surrounding counties He also had his own speech idiosyncracies. Sheen comes from Wales and he does not manage to eliminate all the Welsh in his accent.e.g the way he lingers on the middle consonants of "champions". Fascinating people's accents really.

  • My mum and I are from Sheffield, my dad was from Houghton-le-Spring. I'm well aware that different towns in England have different accents - I'm from the West Riding, which has as many different accents as it has towns. And I know the difference between a Geordie accent and a Middlesbrough one. I watched Brian Clough on TV throughout my childhood. That is not Brian Clough's accent. It's Geordie/Welsh. British TV and film productions need to hire some better voice coaches.

  • @BeeryUSA . I've been to Newcastle and other parts of the North East and worked with Geordies and it does not sound Geordie to me.

  • @heliotropezzz333 but neither did cloughie entirely, the man was a cut above, watch interviews of Brian Clough and you'll realise how good of a job Michael Sheen did.

  • @32theNewFella32 I think you misunderstood my comment. I thought Michael Sheen did a good job but was responding to an Beery USA who thought his accent sounded Geordie.

  • Clough won back to back European cups with Forest. Leeds went practically bust and ended up in division 3.

Do some research, you fucking knob.

  • yeah i know u knob he HATED leeds!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hating Leeds only makes him more of a legend in my eyes.

    Perceptive man...

  • @eezysqueezy

Then forest went practically bust and ended up in League 1, not called division 3 now you twat.

    Now they're both in the Championship..or as you'd call it...Division 2.

  • @applebeatle Most if not all of that stuff happened well AFTER Clough retired. HIs last season at Forest saw them relegated, true. However, he did not take them into league 1 and, whatever some random dickhead on youtube like you thinks, he won the European cup back to back with Forest. An achievement pretty much unrivalled by...well, anyone....you twat.

  • @eezysqueezy

Excuse me idiot face...where did I say it was Clough who took forest to League 1?

I don't dispute that it happened after he retired to drink himself to death ( good fucking riddance ),

I said forest went bust and ended up in league 1..which they did...so what the fuck are you arguing about ?..you cunt !

  • @applebeatle Brian Clough, alcoholic or not, was a great football manager who achieved things most managaers can only dream of.

You are just some prick on an internet message board sounding off...

    Brian Clough win!

  • @eezysqueezy " You are just some prick on an internet message board sounding off..."

Ever heard of irony?...you fucking tosser..just shut it and stop embarrassing yourself.

  • @eezysqueezy Back to back European cups...a feat unrivalled by anyone? I think it's you who needs to some research you fucking knob. Real Madrid..5 times in a row Benfica ...twice in a row Inter Milan..twice in a row Ajax...3 times in a row Bayern Munich...3 times in a row Liverpooll...wice in a Row Nott'm Forest...twice in a row A C Milan..twice in a row. So where you get..Unrivalled... from is a mystery...you're just one team on a list you sad deluded fucker !
  • @applebeatle Dinnae forget Celtic...once in a row....Hail Hail!

The format might have changed since '67 but y'know, credit where credit's due. Dinnae see Chelski's name on the hallowed club trophy do you?

  • @WoodyLivesOn

    Once in a row....lol...ya muppet.

  • @eezysqueezy Forest ended up in Division 3 several years sooner than Leeds. You fucking knob.

  • @boggedmaffus Not under the stewardship of Clough, they didn't. Clough was well gone by that stage.

Like I said to the other knob, do your research. You just look a twat otherwise.

  • @eezysqueezy

Every comment you make ..you look more of a fucking twat...boggedmaffus didn't say they went to Div 3 under Clough...now did he?

    You complete moron !

    You've been owned 3 times so far..want to make it 4 ?

  • @seventiesclassic What exactly is moronic about the truth? Clough DID win back to back European cups, Clough WAS NOT in charge of Forest when the ended up in league one, as was implied by one of your fellow hard of thinking fuck heads...

And I fail to see how I've 'been owned' when in fact I've just put a few scumbag leeds fans like you in their proper place.

Trust me, fuckface, you lack the mental capacity own me in any sort of debate.

  • @eezysqueezy

That's right...he did win back to back Euro Cups, and he wasn't in charge when they went into League 1, if you read the comments properly you'll see that neither I boggedmaffus..nor anyone else has said or implied otherwise...that's you being paranoid and defensive.

He was however, in charge when they were relegated from the Prem...he was too pissed up to stop it.

So that's you...owned for a 4th time, especially as you don't seem able to construct all your sentences correctly

  • @seventiesclassic No, if YOU read the comments properly you will see he DID imply that Clough was responsible for Forest's fall into league one. I'm not being paranoid or defensive at all. I simply detest the fact that know nothing cunts like you can take cheap shots at a great man in relative anonymity on the internet. Yes he may have had a drink problem, but he still managed to be a fottballing legend with it. And nothing you say can change that.

    Clough win!

  • @eezysqueezy why dont u do some research pal we ended up in division 2

  • @123waitey123 I never disputed that fact. Forest's decline came at the end of Clough's tenure and his last season they were relegated. However, this cannot take away the unbelievable feat of back to back European Cups for Forest and Clough. An achievement that will be hard for anyone to match when you consider that Forest weren't even that big a club when he took over.

In other words, it ending badly does not take away from the brilliance of the man or his achievements.

  • what to say? Great movie, with a few really good messages for all walks of life 5/5 stars .watch it online at MOVIEPRINCESS[DOTT]com

  • Revie was better than Clough

  • Nice. I'm sure Brian C didn't say 'flipping', though! (PS the book this is based on is brilliant!)

  • TWAT

  • Just fuck off

  • He told them the truth. Some real talent in the team, but they were a disgrace to sport. There was/is no difference between assault on the pitch and the same taking place a ball's kick away on the street.

  • The guy who plays Bremner was great in This is England but he is miscast in this. His Scottish accent is unconvincing and his hair is bizarre.

  • Michael Sheen has Cloughie off to a tee, young man!

  • No he doesn't. It sounds nothing like him. He might have Clough's tone, but he mangles the accent.

  • @TomSanderson100

No he doesn't...watch some Cloughie interviews.

  • @TomSanderson100 Better than Bremner (Rory not Billy).

  • twat

  • I love Stephen Graham in this. Good actor and clearly having fun playing a snidy little barsteward.

    Top film.

  • DIRTY LEEDS!

  • clough was a legend

  • That's funny, cuz both he (Stephen Graham) and Craig Charles are scousers

  • the guy playing Bremner looks like Craig Charles, the guy who plays Lister on Red Dwarf

  • @mp01juve . They all have obvious wigs. In the film "This is England" he plays his part with a shaved head an does not look like Craig Charles. I don't know what his real hair is like.

  • ronaldo cudnt hak it in those days. real football.

  • John Giles was never that tall!

  • i enjoyed this movie, sheen did great as clough, this leeds team was dirty and clough preferred a team that played attractive football, thats not a geordie accent its cloughs alright, its boro but a little strange, i think he nailed it

  • bluddy faking sweet ..

  • flippin!

  • I dont like Leeds but the 70s was no crap era

    Quality film, loved it
