You use bookmarks and an interceptor to get as close as you can to it. With clever bookmark juggling you can get pretty close and the intie takes you the rest of the way.

In case you havent found out yet, there is going to be FPS part of the EVE Universe "Dust 514" where you shoot stuff on the planets of EVE.

They also plan to release a physics engine called Carbon, which will, i hope, enable you to walk on stations, and maybe on planets in the coming expansions.

@Gibbo37711 dude, I played it few months ago, for over half year, and it didnt lag, only thing I got was once it crashed (which they fixed in 10 minutes), but hey, that happens, and its totally understandable for such servers crash atleast once in life-time that supports 30k-40k players IN ONE SERVER, not separated servers.

Oh dont get me wrong, they do fix it just they keep going a bit crazy and adding new things rather than fixing problems that have persisted since 2003 lol.

Over the past few month its been getting worse up until 2 nights ago at like 2am, the server completely buckled and they had to do a reboot.

Now that dominion is released, there is A LOT of bugs kicking about, its laggy and sound is still borked. Its slowly getting fixed tho. Its still not the same game it was years ago. Easy to make ISK :)

Well some people have lag issues and some do not, its is not widely as compatable as it used to be. Currently I can log on 2 characters. runs smooth and after like 15 minutes one starts to lag and gets socket closed but the other stays on, Which makes no sense as im runnning 1 install so same socket. I get this a lot and so do many others. Lately the new expansion has made it close to impossible to run duel window'd monitors @1920x1200. Doesent like the nivida driver although the ATI one works

its up to your computer or connection that are too slow for such amount, because if another char keeps logged in, it means there aint problems on ccp server, the world of eve just keeps going on. it means your connection is too busy to keep up with such busy connection, it´s double amount of data that is transferred from you to ccp and from ccp to you.

I dont think you can blame ccp for that you want to busy up your connection with 2 chars... its like being at private traffic jam.

Yeah, they kinda needed a focused tweak in the planetary graphics, especially if people are trying to take over solar systems, so in order to achieve this they need to be able to orbit a planet that isn't a couple of inches wide, what would be cool is if they tweak it so that ships and stations can orbit around planets naturally like satellites and be able to fire on planets and then cause ships to come out into orbit from the surface and retaliate against you

Warp is not a different dimension, it is just a bubble of terribly distorted space, with normal space in and outside.

that's also a new improvement they need to make, the warping system don't feel like warping at all, it needs to be more than just rocket engines firing up, more like bending space and time flying at a blink of an eye requiring people to map a warp path around fighting zones and planetary orbits and then getting to your destination with in seconds with better worm wall graphics with multiple warp points like it would in real life, this game has the potential of becoming the next space race

Technically, it's only if you actually load the grid the bubble is on, which is a code limitation. A bubble along the warp path between two gates won't drop a ship out of warp, but you'll land on the edge of a bubble if it's in your direct path in the destination grid.

Warp space is (according to the game) a whole different dimernsion. or well, to say, a space between space.

And the "explanation" for the "why we can warp through planets" is that the warp drive takes you out from our "space/time-continuum", also supported by the fact that you warp faster than the speed of light (by quite a magnitude), and that wouldn't be possible either according to our laws of physics ;)

In the current sisi build, the renovated planets are smaller now, which more or less makes them look farther away. They'll probably have to move the default warp-in points or something, I dunno what their plan is.
