Omigod! This is SO different! I started watching Big Brother season 8. I was quite young when all this started, & I'd never known about it. I'm so glad these are on youtube so I can watch them & see how much everything has changed. The house, the rules, ..just everything about it!

OMG!! It's sooo different from this season!! I have been watching Big Brother since season 8, and am currently watching season 13 as it airs on T.V. So excited to see how it turns out!!! :)

I actually watched that season. Never watched in afterwards. The reason I found it so interesting was exactly because it was so stark and focused on the sociological experiment aspect of it. I am willing to bet many fans of the show in subsequent years have not understood what the title meant. The show got boring as it progressed because the interesting people got voted off, but at the beginning it was quite compelling. Recall that CBS had a constant free live stream of a few cams.

This was the best season of Big Brother. Everybody was REAL. In later seasons the show just wants young and beautful. Season 1 had a good mix of people and it made the show interesting. This is the only season of Big Brother I have faithfully watched. I never missed an episode. All the ones after season 1 sucked.

I remember this very well, it was a bad season. America got to vote who went out, and it was mostly a popularity contest. As soon as the guy on crutches walked in, I knew he would win. So glad they changed the show and format. Its waaay better now!

@tjs1264 Totally disagree. The idea of Big Brother is that people are watching AS WELL as judging. The people on the outside are those who hold the power. It's meant to be a popularity contest, and if you don't win the public over, you lose. As it stands now, the title no longer deserves to reference George Orwell.

@tjs1264 First season was ridiculous, both houseguests and production had zero control. I like the changes since then. But it was hilarious to hear everyone's shock at the fact we'd be seeing EVERYTHING LOL.
