My friend had three daughters and they always went to church inbeautifully starched and ironed dresses. I remember seeing her exhausted at one am on suday morning ironing those dresses, going to bed at two thirty, getting up at six thirty to get breakfast and get everyone fed and dressed for church. Then church, then home to fix dinner, thenclean up after dinner. I could not have done it, I don't have that kind of strength.
I saw a documentary on public television years about women who hung their laundry out to dry on a clothes line. I'd love to find that again. It was fascinating.
From an old friend, Connie I can't praise this documentary enough. It's such a powerful film.
