Nice view. Too crowded for my liking though. The music made it scarier. I do a lot of hiking and love views but I don't like to sit on the edge of a cliff. That sheer drop is frightening.
There was fences there one time, almost on the top, but it destrouyed the nature, thats the reason why theres no fences there, it destroys the nature:( But theres warning of walking to the edge of the cliff, but visit it while you can, it will fell down within the nearest future:(
What is the most efficient way to travel through the fjords? I'm looking to go with some friends in summer of 2012, and we're going to be 19 then, and just wondering any travel tips in Norway. This place seems like a dream world.
Preikestolen is very close about 40 min, but first you have to take a ferry from Stavanger to Tau and then drive from there to Prekestolen parking area.
The hike from the parking area will take you anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
The hike can be Strenuous so you should be in good health before taking on this hike.
What a nice video... I feel like I have to start travelling around my own country... Many places in Norway I haven't been to yet.. And seeing this is breath taking.
I was here with my family 17 years ago.. wow, how time flies!! An amazing place... very peaceful and inspiring. A long and somewhat arduous "climb" up though! LOL Well, well worth it!! Thanks for posting this video. You've really captured the experience. Too bad I didn't know about the pools at the bottom. I would have loved a swim afterwards!!
I went ontthe norway exchange a few weeks ago and i went here with norway exchange student. Wow it wasincreidlbe and upthere we had a bar of frier and thenwe were so thristy coming down we ranand went striaght into the water pools down a bit further. It was amazing and gosh i want to go there again
what is the temperature like there?
