Obviously not on the radar like Yao and Yi but I think he could help most teams out. All depends on the Lakers plans for him. Maybe a season in the D-League, I dunno.
Because the Lakers might use that final spot for someone else right now, and just keep Sun Yue and Marc Gasol still developing in another league. He's not playing in Europe! DUMBASS! He's playing in the ABA, which is a minor league in the US. Although some of the games this season were in Singapore. Lakers do have his rights though.

Wow, the kid can finish nicely! When I watched a bit of China in the summer league, Sun didn't really play a great deal but watching this vid I've seen some things I hadn't before. Obviously not on the radar like Yao and Yi but I think he could help most teams out. All depends on the Lakers plans for him. Maybe a season in the D-League, I dunno.

Because the Lakers might use that final spot for someone else right now, and just keep Sun Yue and Marc Gasol still developing in another league. At the sametime, the Lakers still have to offer Yue a contract. If he signs it, then he goes to training camp. If he's cut, Lakers lose his rights. If he doesnt sign it, Lakers retain his rights.

Lakers need a low post scorer, Kobe can only do so much. The Lakers would have a better chance of doing something in the East. The West is just too packed that I don't think the Lakers will get passed the 1st or 2nd rd without a dominate inside presence.

If he plays with that kind of intensity he doesn't have to the next Yao. In case you people haven't noticed the hustle players and the consistent role players contribute heavily to a win. They just aren't usually praised for it.

yea, both yi jianlian and sun yue still may not be on the NBA level, but deserve to try. asian players are only tall. but these guys are skinny, but athletic. can you imagine 212cm or 206cm asian play like that? and besides, yi plays in summer league and sun plays in aba already. incidentally, match up with black jersey is the top PG match up with japanese ryota sakurai of 194cm. in asia, sun has no other tough players as long as that is the top.
