Shitake Mushrooms Inoculation

Good day! i' really want to grow my own shiitake....what is the ideal temperature to grow shiitake....thanks.

Do you put any micelium in the holes or not?

The wooden dowels are inoculated with mushroom spores, by inserting them in the holes you inoculate the log.

@curlysoo Ok, I get it, thanks. How long does it take for the firsl yield to come out? And how long the wood yields the mushrooms?

it usually takes a year

the logs bear fruit for several years i have 9 year old logs that give some mushrooms.
