HI, yes i understand you, because i have the original mega drive box of this game. and i´m allways wondering because of this images with these fishes and the village image. I never found a secret level like this, but i think its an another version of these game, because in other mega drive games is it the same. i played about 20 mega drive games in my childhood.. but anyway .. VERY good question !!! :)

On the second one we can see Asterix in his village on the roof a rose house just under the house of the first boss (the musician, in France we call him Assurancetourix). There are only the two sublevels in the village in this game but there is never this situation in these 2 levels (maybe it would be easier to show you by mail...). I don't understand could you help me?

Those you mention are beta levels that didn't made to the final release. They are not secret levels, as they are not in the proper game, but in early betas that have never being leaked to the public unfortunately. The one with Asterix in the village was notable to appear in magazine adds, it's a pretty known one. There is, in fact, an alternative European release of the game which has those two pics in the backside replaced by other two featuring actual levels from the final game. I have it.

- on the box of my game, on his backside (like every genesis game) we can read a paragraph about the game written in different languages and see 4 images of the game. On my box there are 2 images I never saw in the game (and I don't think I missed a little detail in this game in 10 years of gaming). On the first image I never met in the game we can see Asterix falling down in the air (on the backside we can see big green and red fishes).

So I guess that this boss is really hard for you too. Your method is better than mine (I pushed the 3 buttons so i couldn't keep on 20 seconds and I was always angry because when i thought I was winning, the Roman always came back and kicked me out because i couldn't keep on this heavy rythm).
As I see you know really well this game so I've got some questions;
- are there hidden levels in this game ( I never found any one )
