  • ROFL I thought I'd be the first one to post the 5 dollar foot long subway comercial parody, obviously someone else see's the connection. Subway better hope their lawyers cleared it with low first.

  • low is awesome anyone know the name of there other cd's

  • i liked this movie had a x-files feel to it

  • Yeah, this movie was fanTASTIC! And I sat through all the credits (which I never do) just to see what this song was at the end. Hauntingly beautiful and perfectly matched to the tone of the movie. If you haven't seen The Mothman Prophecies, I highly recommend it!

  • Trippy....

  • But of course, it pales to the absolute weirdness described in Keel's book, and you really have to read the book to get the movie

  • @spookykumquat3 -- I agree with your comment. I too read Keel's book & believe in the subject matter-there's more to our world than what's in front of us--we should check out what's in the corners...

This is a perfect marriage between music & film--hauntingly eerie. Get past the fear to the inspiration that awaits.

  • @RaidarStudios2

    i did

  • Did anyone get here from Half Life?

  • 5...

    5 dollar...

    5 dollar foot loooong

  • The "chemical plant" that is portrayed in WVA is actually a power station in Elrama, PA.

  • Awesome song, bought the soundtrack

  • @SuperWeedPower where sent here by another video if you where i wasted my time too

  • Where did you get this cool version? It is not from the soundtrack, is it?

  • @CrimsonComedian19 they didnt understand so they made fun of me

  • This song is awesome. The film itself is true and as faithful as posssible to the events that took place ................one of the best films to actually follow this course!

There is a documentary about the whole 'Mothman'

  • @WolfiesTube Not so at all. The whole John Klein/John Keel story is not as it was in reality. Keel was a comedy writer/U.F.O buff unlike Gere's character & the whole "wife angle" is completely added. Good movie but far fetched and more interesting from the actual Keel story)

  • @alanpfuhl

You should re-watch the film. It takes all of the central ideas and experiences that Keel described in his book and condenses it into a single thematic narrative to tell a semi-fictive story, as well as initiate audience members who are sharp enough to pick up on the subtle nuances throughout the film that hint at what's happening behind the scenes. Keel himself praised the film's representation. It does a better job than all the shitty "mothman" documentaries/tv movies out there

  • muy recomendado este tema de la pelicula el mensajero de la oscuridad

  • este tema me hace volar...

  • one of my top songs ever!!!!!!!!

  • Was alone in the house watching this flick. Had to quit. It was too creepy. Was braver the next evening and finished watching. Then this song played. Wow. Now I want to watch the movie again all at once. Cool stuff.

  • This is probably the coolest song ever

  • after i got into this i was made fun of in school people thought i was crazy

  • where can we get the true story ?

  • The movie is even creepier if you're from West Virginia, and if you're watching the movie in West Virginia. I speak from experience. (shudders)

  • i love this song but the movie is not all true,i hate it when they make a movie based on fact but they get it wrong.

  • gemini87 I think it's a girl.

  • Awsoe song Tomandanday are fantastic. Low is the band?

  • Great Movie. I liked Gere in this one and Laura Linney was great too. This song is different than the one on the album. The gituar part is missing on the Album. Any ideas?

  • This is definitely a KILLER song! I love it!! This song helped make the movie what it is...awesome!

  • I'm a show tune nut and this is one of my favorites!

  • who is the guy in the video with the long curly hair???

  • Like the eerie song-hated the movie

  • mothman prophecies is a good movie to bad that they did not got the facts right

  • @eargon75 True but its actually a lot better than the SyFy original movie "Mothman" that aired last April. Good plot but it had a LOT of facts wrong, right down to the Chief Cornstalk curse.

  • any one who knows the end song of the movie ?

  • inner

    rise

    go and

    fucketh thyself

  • @thedukeman48 HaHaHaHa! laughed so hard when i saw ur comment.......

  • Does anyone know the guitar part to this song? It would be neat to play.

  • @blindmieko I wish. This is like evil trance. Awesome song. awesome movie too. Love stuff that gives me freaky dreams.

  • @adamjeffreysmith That's exactly how I would describe it. I used to listen to this late at night when finishing my work, made everything a bit surreal.

  • @blindmieko I dont know but i`ll find out.... btw its pretty easy

  • @chadkaplan19 Yeah, it's a simple tune. However, even though I've played guitar for years, I never developed a good musical ear. So if anyone found a tab for the guitar parts I would be happy.

  • The guy in the band is hawt.

  • Comment removed

  • @thedukeman48 ya momma bish.

  • @InnerRise ASSHOLE

  • @thedukeman48 Eat it.

  • @thedukeman48 I like you. Just told fuckin morn InnerRise off myself.

  • @InnerRise if u never seen it and pass judgement on it you must be a real douchebag. But sure you got ur star trek or GI Joe figures out playin with them. Why you even on this if youre not interested. Get a fucking life. InnerRise... Does that mean you fuck yourself?

  • @InnerRise are you trying to be funny?

  • @chadkaplan19 I think he's just stupid

  • @chadkaplan19 No.

  • @InnerRise good cuz u failed.

  • @chadkaplan19 How could I fail at something I wasn't attempting to do?

    FAIL.

  • @InnerRise "IF" u were trying to be fanny u failed. You said something stupid so.. FAILED. And everyone here agree with me so stfup and leave us alone

  • @chadkaplan19 Rot.

  • @chadkaplan19 who is "fanny"?

  • I've loved this song from the moment I heard it when I was about 12...I'm 20 now & I still can't get enough. It just gives you this really deep, dark feeling. Not to mention, perfectly suited for such a wonderful film.

  • @urbanr0cker So agree. This is probably the last good scary movie Ive seen. And I saw this back in 03 I think.

  • is this song on one of there albums?and if so whats the album called?

  • i used to belive in him but i dont any more but i do belive that there are things out there that we weren't intended to see because god knew that the human race would adapt so much in a epic race to destroy are selves and any thing smarter then us because we feel threaten by what ever or who ever it is that thats why the mothman has not been seen for 4 years because he pitys the fact that we feel like we have to destroy anything thats smarter then us thats what i belive.

  • This post should be about the song, not the movie, so shut the fuck up morons.

  • This is an amazing song so well written to go with this film and kudos to musicians and music directors tomandandy - they are amazing whenever they touch a film score and find this kind of a gem. Haunting as the movie and fits so well. I seldom care for music with talking from movies, it always seems so cheap and sold-out where as here, we find it mixing perfectly and appopriate as both movie and song could and do exist without the other quite nicely.

What a great song by Low. Thx Indrid!

  • The warm underwater feeling. The creepy gets above your skin.

  • It's this style of music with the "warm underwater" feel that speaks without saying anything. The creepy is all around you.

  • I love this song I thought it was Radiohead when I saw the movie.

  • @Slyonethegreat Because the singer sounds so much like Thom Yorke? :P

  • i used to believe in mothman

  • Great Song! (I'll watch the movie @ some point.)

  • I really like this song.....does this group have any more?

  • who cares who does the singing and the whispering its still some creepy shit

  • yep, it's a great song and movie... creepy indeed.

  • the slowcore cooooooool tunes

  • as far as i know the voice whispering is the mothman i remember from watching the lirycs years ago and as we can hear it's a man not a woman.

  • Amazing

  • it's Low with Tomandandy that make this song i don't know who's Ingrid Cold but she got amazing voice when i heard the song in the film years ago i got crazed to it so i tried to find it but it was not an easy work i found 2 versions of it difference as i remember was that one was minute or two longer extended by the intro of the song

  • @vobiscumJIVO Indrid Cold is a character from the movie. The woman singing the song is Mimi Parker, from Low. 'Indrid Cold' just whispers stuff in the song.

  • This song is a wonderful fit with the mood of the movie...both are great!!!

  • So wonderfully creepy.

  • Low is amazing!!

  • Wasn't this video down about a week ago?

I'm glad not, but it's weird...

  • how did they get indrid cold to sing

  • lol!

  • EVERYbody got a price

  • This track was a great finale during the credits reel, the film itself was of great 'Fortean' inspiration, pity it was not more acclaimed at the time - it probably will acheive 'cult' status in the future.

  • I never heard of this movie until I saw it on HDNET tonight lol.

  • I think I like the movie version better just because it sounds darker and more intense to me and I love that.

Great song and an even greater band either way.

  • the best song ever i love it i cant stop from hearing it

  • The mothman is going around telling the moth people or whatever you call them that he saw richard gere, nobody believes him.

  • ROFFLE!

  • @ProudToBLoud

    LMAO

  • @ProudToBLoud Cute. Indrid and I find that very amusing. We saw what you did with that makeup in the bathroom when you were 6 years old. Don't be afraid. We will see you in time.

    MediaGod - Cute response though!

  • @ProudToBLoud hahahahah

  • @ProudToBLoud hahahahhahha

  • @ProudToBLoud LOL! To funny!

  • @ProudToBLoud HAHAA!! Genius!!

  • @ProudToBLoud too funny roflmao

  • This would be a great song for Batman

  • @breeeegs Indeed, it would be good for Batman. Sadly I don't think Chris Nolan goes for subtle and haunting with his Batman movies though.

  • the dark knight was haunting in some ways

  • @breeeegs not subtle that much though...

  • The Gere Man Prophecies

  • AWESOME SONG...

  • wicked song, glad i watched mothman for the ending credits, discovered this gem.

  • played this throughout the whole credits...better to watch in the theater

  • love, and i mean love this song! the movie is cool as hell, based on a true story, and thisalt. version of the song just compliments blowing your mind at its end! i have both the movie, and the soundtrack, although this song is the only treasure on it, but it was worth getting the original song. it is stronger and deeper than the movie version! a must see and hear!

  • is this the song of the credits? i dont really get when this songs appears! someone help?

  • yeah its the credits and theme song, but its not the whole song, the full version is about to 6:49 lenght

  • It appears after the finale in symbiosis with the credits rolling.

  • AAAAArrrrrrggGGGhhh - I LOVE this song/chant/incantation soooo MUCH!

  • watch this alone in a room with all the lights off. i dare you not to look over your shoulder, lol:)

  • It's absolutely beautiful. It's mystifying and sort of escapist, but in a good way. (:

  • i love music that sounds like witch chanting

  • how is this witch chanting?

it belongs to a style called Shoe-Gaze. Check out My Bloody Valentine.

  • good stuff

  • i watch this movie alot man, this song is the best!

  • great movie and awesome song

  • Ahhhhhhhh, I love this song.

  • want more such movies and tracks ! :)

  • I really didn't pay any attention to the movie while my girlfriend was watching

it, but this song, over the end credits, got

me like a two- by- four upside the head.

Just f******g hypnotic! Reminds me of

Lush at their trippy, weird best- anybody

else hear a connection like that?

  • same, i didn't even watch the movie, but the song got me! i listened to it over and over!

  • So watch the movie!! and do a research about it!

( I couldn't resist doing it after watching to the movie :P )

  • CHAPSTICK!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song. I was at the screening of the film as most people from Point Pleasant were. It was a total offtake of the book yes. Good, nonetheless. I thought that this soundtrack really rocked. Thanks for posting it. :) When you live in a place that has such a myth, it goes from terrifying as a child to lame. Yet, it's part of our history. I kinda think that it's cool we have one. lol.

  • Yeah the place I live has only one story behind it. The meth days of the late 90's LOL.

  • I was told not to be afraid. I'll see you all in time.

  • really awesome song and movie.

this has been the only "creepy" horror movie in recent years, everything else is just blood and gore bullshit.

  • Thank You finally someone agrees. Every movie I have seen is about inbread gore fest pig raping people. This is my brand of creepy. The shear fact you dont see mothman very much made it scarier.

  • @LifeJuice90 You should read the book...it's even creepier.

  • @TheaterX I recently got it. I am on like page 80, and scared out of my wits. The mothman isn't even what makes it scary.

  • @LifeJuice90 i agree

  • "My ears are bleeding !! =)" - Made the comment a few weeks ago and some dork has made a concerted effort to SPAM it. If that person had watched the film and had a 'HALF Brain' they might understand it. Obv. too self-serious and very, very anal.

  • ZNACIIIII...obozavam ovu pesmu!!1

  • i bet this song is fun to listen to when ur high lol

  • good music for movie scene but not for listening,to repetitive

  • You're crazy.

  • i agree with xlucidx, you're very crazy. this king of music is raw and pure. fuck pop culture.

  • Great Song. Pretty creepy.
