I shared a really simple-naive storyline about greed with John, and he came back with a universal version,the boy that gathers all the shiny objects and gets "lost" forever in this obsession, without question why, or what he is missing out, the life outside the cave.
John shot this on film(!) as a part of the Straight8 contest, next it was sent to England,printed,screened in several festivals around the globe and finally arrived few days ago
When shooting on a film that lasts 3:20, and editing is not an option, it really takes some skill to follow the pace of a song the way John did. Amazing work! The fact that part of the ending wasn't printed - was at the end of the film, and we only get to see couple of frames of the old man at 3:20 makes it even more haunting.
This in not a 2L8 production. So ALL credit goes to John!
We owe you, we thank you, we love you...
