I recently ruptured my distal bicep tendon. If it wasn't for your videos i would not have taken myself to the emergency room three days after the accident and insisted the take action! Luckily i had an operation to repair the damage and i am now in a cast on the road to recovery. When the accident first happened the nurse at the surgery sent me home (had to drive myself) telling me it was just a strain, even though my bicep was up near my shoulder. Videos like yuors save biceps!
i just injured by left bicep the same way yesterday and have to get the surgery. i'm very active, play football (only 1 game into the season), lift a lot of weights, etc, so i'm real bummed about it. These videos really help me feel more comfortable about the surgery and recovery, so thanks for sharing
That muscle is your brachioradialis (sp?) just for reference... love the deadlift vids... do you have some sort of Exercise Science degree? From looking at the videos it seems like you do. and if not what cert do you have? just curious.
I tore my biceps about 3 months ago. Do you have a training program I can use to train my biceps up again. Traning exercises? How much weight to lift and how to recover to 100% again?
Do you suggest any preventative movements for this! I've heard both ways that doing loads of curls can snap it or not doing any can be just as bad! What's the deal?
I am 7 weeks out of surgery and all is good except for finger extension. I have radial nerve palsy post surgery. They think it was from the swelling or the fact that my forearm was a little larger than normal and possible retracted the radial nerve too much. Have you every known anyone to not have this come back?
Is the bicep that you received surgery functioning normally i.e. contracting hard? Is it as strong as the other? What foods do you eat that help recovery? YOUR A BEAST! Good for you.
hey Elliot ... Recently injured my bicep ( distal bicep tendon ) and immediately followed up by seeing a Orthopedic and just got my MRI done... has officially been 1 week one day since injury ... if i pronate/supinate my wrist the bicep moves up n down but I can't make a muscle thats hard... stays soft... waiting to hear back from doc.. if he reports that its only a partial tear was curious on ur thoughts. right now planning that I'll need surgery cuz I'm very active n plan on always being so
i had a microdisectomy (back surgery for herniated discs) about a month ago and they said 6 months as well and 17 so im thinking i should just take it easy because if i re-herniate it then i need to do a fusion on my spine
Way to fight brother. Im glad your on the rebound, and im sure you cans till hit some pro-comp and tear it up ( no pun intended ) . I do have a question tho. Do you think there is anything you couldve done before hand at all that couldve prevented the tear. Do you think it was all tore at once, or was gradual. I know 2 people personally that tore there biceps deadlifting ( consequently with a supine grip), and another one says he tore his playing raquet ball. Thanks brother and keep kicking ass!
what did you do to rehab your brachialis? Have similar injury without the tear. Been foam rolling and kenesio taping but grip is still severly limited. Love your rehab methodology. Curious as to how you released that problem.

I just strained my calf running. I know that your not a dr., what would you recommend? I've been icing it and using a compression sleeve on it.
