Never prepare food where you sleep ... Cook your food 200 meters down stream. Have one small fire for cooking .. Have a separate fire for warmth. You don't want a visitor .
lmao@ les gives us a stronger sense of what it means to survive on our own...but...but..........lol the place where he stays is mapped out..because of safety....the classic example is the colorado rockies......so tough yet so easy...surviving is so different when you are not educated like he is...
he got harassed by a squatch filming this true story check it out radio interview recent.i bet that shelter he added too was a squatch hut how did that driftwood get that way?
He could have made a hole and lined it with clay-mud, allowing it to dry so it holds water.. then added water and hot rocks, boiling the water and the fish..
Watch his earlier episodes, you see him climbing down cliff faces from below, and see him climbing back up after placing it at the bottom, dedication on a spastic level. Really crazy. Ha ha
What if the fish was infected with worms or eggs he couldn't see? lol. This guys should release a book with survival techniques for different parts of the world. I would run to get it! haha :P so much to learn and I can't get enough! Living in the polluted crowded city of Singapore, I can't wait to move back to Norway where I'm from and live on the countryside where I grew up. That is truly my home.
One of the outstanding things I love about Les's filming techniques is the shots showing him walking/boating from far off and knowing that he has to come back to retrieve the camera.
Yeah he said in an interview that he doesnt want his show to be a home video. He wants the camera angles good. So he said he puts it ahead of him then goes back and walks again. Or leaves it then goes back for it..

You can take a trip there. Never limit yourself. Life is about doing things you do not have to do, else you're just 'SURVIVING'.
