According to Verizon I dont get AT&T service at my home in Virginia. If you use Verizon's AT&T coverage map it is NOT right. Verizon shows a old AT&T coverage map. Also where you point out Montana, AT&T has coverage there, while Verizon does not. That AT&T coverage map is complatly wrong.

The map for att is for the family track and mobile tv. The calling and data maps are very similar and where I live in the Portland Oregon area att has much better coverage than Verizon.
So I have Verizon and I do love the service, But I cant comment on ATT because I have not had it yet. Verizon is WAY too expensive though. I do not agree with your video though, ATT does have android phones, quite a few of them actually. Also The samsung rogue SUCKS (i had it) and the white screen happened to me too. The coverage maps show the difference between Verizon EVDO and 1XRTT (which is on the entire network, its built into it. AT&T map only shows UMTS/HSPA coverage and NOT the EDGE or GPRS coverage, which is ALSO data. The difference is that Verizon is ONLY showing both maps 3G, not ACTUAL full data.

It's a feature phone with a really slow camera and a Touchwiz interface that needs to be redone like . . . now. You are really uninformed . . . Verizon may have the coverage, but they're relying on 1.4 Mbps data on CDMA. AT&T may have considerably less coverage, but at least they have 7.2 Mbps data in the cities where it counts on WCDMA HDPA. CDMA has good penetration, but Verizon is already pushing the envelope with such technology. Also, your smartphone argument is OKAY if you're basing it only off of Blackberry OS 5.0 with Touch Screens and Android. AT&T, however, has a greater selection.

The map for att is for the family track and mobile tv. The calling and data maps are very similar and where I live in the Portland Oregon area att has much better coverage than Verizon.

So I have Verizon and I do love the service, But I cant comment on ATT because I have not had it yet. Verizon is WAY too expensive though. I do not agree with your video though, ATT does have android phones, quite a few of them actually. Also The samsung rogue SUCKS (i had it) and the white screen happened to me too. And also the ENV Touch (my touch screen stopped working) and just because Verizon has a V does not make it better. But I guess thats just you being a child

The coverage maps show the difference between Verizon EVDO and 1XRTT (which is on the entire network, its built into it. AT&T map only shows UMTS/HSPA coverage and NOT the EDGE or GPRS coverage, which is ALSO data. The difference is that Verizon is ONLY showing both maps 3G, not ACTUAL full data.

How about this your busy tethering your phone and then you get text messages and calls and you have to put off what your doing and answer the phone and then restart the whole tethering process. It has to do with GSM. And another thing, your iPhone isn't getting 3G because you use it on T-Mobile. The only time you can do simultaneous voice + data is if you're connected to wifi
Simultaneous voice + data requires 3G GSM (WCDMA).
CDMA Ev-Do networks CANNOT do it, they can if they're connected to WiFi or WiMAX but that's about it.

Those maps are all about 3G coverage, not for voice or EDGE data. Oh, and if you think a Samsung Rogue is a smartphone, you're wrong. It's a feature phone with a really slow camera and a Touchwiz interface that needs to be redone like . . . now. You are really uninformed . . . Verizon may have the coverage, but they're relying on 1.4 Mbps data on CDMA. AT&T may have considerably less coverage, but at least they have 7.2 Mbps data in the cities where it counts on WCDMA HDPA. CDMA has good penetration, but Verizon is already pushing the envelope with such technology. Also, your smartphone argument is OKAY if you're basing it only off of Blackberry OS 5.0 with Touch Screens and Android. AT&T, however, has a greater selection.

Yep, no coverage in Montana. There are very few people in Montana. ATT claims are based on population covered and Verizon on miles covered. Besides, the ATT map in the Verizon add is a lie. The truth is iPhone hurt Verizon so bad they had to resort to this ad.
It's all about Where you live. The "Verizon Network" has been hammered into the heads of young people by advertising. Make up your own mind and don't be a woosie. Choose the best coverage where you live and work.

Montana is massive? LOL more people probably live in ten city blocks of New York City than that whole state. It barley has a million people there. I have a Verizon Droid and I have the iPhone 3Gs and both work about the same...both work quite shitty actually as far as data goes. And from experience At&t's EDGE at times is just as fast at loading pages against the droid on EVDO....not always but 5 out of 10 times my iPhone on EDGE will load a page at the same time as the Droid will..it's all BS!

I ended up using a Verizon phone as a hotspot to help connect the ATT phone to the internet. What do you have to say about that? Verizon is better, enough said.

Well not really all the networks are switching to LTSE networks which will be up by 2012.And just to tell you just where the white is there is internet service just at EDGE speeds,and edge delivers 2.5 MBPS.Verizon's fastest 3G speeds go up to 1.5 MBPS for a CDMA network and thats all.Second that map is only for 3G data speeds.And Verizon has more coverage because its easier to cover more area when you only have speeds up to 1.5 and AT&T has up anywhere 2.5-4.5 usually and sometimes 7mbps SO....

@whiz4u09 BTW, do you actually talk on the phone and surf the web at the same time a lot. I mean really, people are making a big deal about these features that none of them probably use on a daily basis.
