  • i love this routine!

  • Acabo de ver tus videos y me parecen muy interesante, yo acabo de iniciarme y aunque no sé nada de Inglés, me es de mucha utilidad...

    Un saludo cordial desde España...

  • Or Maybe she doesn't want to show off, but really I'd love to see if she can get that state of the mind, cuz I have been trying to do it for a long time and I would like to see the face of the people that is in that state, so I can learn it...

  • i think she does know quite a bit, at least her other videos leave that impression. but if you want to see someone relaxed, i suggest you have a look at other relaxation videos, as some of them have what you're looking for. also, some massage videos may be worth checking out.

  • Oh Ok Thank ya...

  • She didn't concentrate, that means that she can't put her mind in blank when she's in front of the cameras, that means that she doesn't know much 'bout yoga...

  • you my friend are a spiritual genius! i noticed also that she is in a studio and not in the Himalayas!!! she is a fraud!!!

  • Haha It's supposed that you can do that anywhere no matter what circumstances you're in, if not that means that you are an idiot that just practices that because other people or even you might think is cool... If I can't practice it when i need it even if it's in front of people that might laugh, then I don't need it...

  • And I should read previous comments before posting.

  • Love your yoga videos, Tara, they're very real and make yoga attainable for a beginner. Have you put out any DVDs?

  • Can't concentrate...argh, sexy woman bending in all positions!

  • I like 2:22 ;)

  • this is meant to be relaxing? god no average person can do these poses lol! Geri's yoga ive found has a brilliant yoga relaxation section. sends me to sleep every time :)

  • Nahh, nevermind.

  • im relaxted now = good work

  • cool... now back to eating girl scout cookies

  • i think she's awesome. she's really talented... but not pretentious at all. it's not like a class, it's more like if you were chilling out in your room with a friend. very relaxed

  • i see what your saying however you seem not to notice that this video is sponsored by ford models so likely she is told to say that

  • eesh relax, jus listen to wat she has to say and try it, and we all wear stuff made by people less fortunate than us so dont be a hypocrite

  • She keeps saying that she is a model because these videos are made BY the modeling company FOR the modeling company. der.

  • Hey, *you're* watching it.

  • ya! i like to play yoga.. do my best!

  • Get me those breadstix Phonegirl!!...and make it snappy!

  • Nice demo. I like the last one, but would likely fall asleep there :-)

  • i love tara. she deserves a television show. :D

  • Could you do one for yoga before and after exercising?

  • oh this felt GREAT!

  • Hey Tara, I love your yoga vids and I try to dome some of them at home. You are great and thanks for posting!!!

    Greetings from Holland

  • Tara's routines are good for musicians too.....

  • Hey Tara,

First of all, you're gorgeous. Second, would you be able to post a longer and more intense video (15-20 minutes)? When I'm in the mood for a good workout after a run or gym session, I always end up watching 5-6 of your shorter clips, so a longer one would be perfect!

  • i follwoed it till wen she did her first stretch..i lifted my hands in the air and realised im not guna b able to reahc my kneee... good vid tho ^^

  • I want to be bendy like that.

  • gr8 collection by ford, u n she rocks.......

  • I had a red pair of curtains like that. :)

  • We're considering doing a segment with Julie Andrews in which she turns those very curtains into children's outfits. Stay tuned!

  • I think the red curtains could be better, re-made into ball gowns for ladies. Just a thought.:)

  • same here

  • The last felt so good on my spine.

  • She's awesome! For a model she's very down to earth..very relaxing tip.

  • ummm i think i have a yoga fetish

  • you should do a dvd x

  • Funny you should say that, tara is planning on doing one in October

  • going to try that! :D

  • ur flexible!

  • Good stuff!

  • god damn, relax me not frustrate me. :P

  • This one was as helpful for me as the other ones (I already do this) but still, thanks for posting it.

When I lay on the floor like that, I relax my body as far as it can go and lay completely still. Then I start thinking about how my hands, legs, toes, arms, hips, etc feel, making myself really aware of my body. When you finally get up it feels really amazing. Just some advice.

  • super hot chick

  • the poses were right on & great for a gentle stretch & restorative practice. also, tara's voice is soothing & even, which is relaxing just to listen to!

  • hi tara. see the meaning of word "yoga". Relaxation is only the first step.. further on it goes deeper and deeper..

  • I've never heard of lying on a rolled up blanket like that, I never would of thought of that as an easy way to stretch one's back. This was a relaxing video to watch, too.

  • Who r u again? ...

  • meditation is incredible... it basically repels any negative thoughts and allows everything you want to just come in one at a time

  • Fake. She's not really relaxed. She's an actor hired by M&M's as part of a viral campaign.

  • Wrong, you flamin' gallah! LOL. Tara is a Ford Model.

  • Thanks... Yoga I love it.

  • Very informative thanks!

  • nice to no ur flexible

  • wow.. your cute

  • im really not sure how that will relax you but still hot

  • I can do all the movements, but my question is how do I shut my mind off while I'm doing them? I can never mentally relax.

  • you wil never shut youre mind off, its just what is does. What you can do is change youre awareness or focus, focus youre awareness on youre breathing or something else, a candle. Try to becaome where you put youre awareness in. Thats what you can try and that will bring you more by a state of relaxation.

    Nirmal

  • Great advice Nirmal48, this is how i started out franzapooch, focusing on your breathing while doing Holotropic Breathing. I got good once i developed my own technique... after learning many diff. methods and ways people meditate, i developed my own method using others ways and even developing some of my own after understanding.

  • Thank you h4rk4t and nirmal48 for the advice. =)

I have read about letting thoughts "breeze by" or "float" by. It is just easier said than done. I admire both of you for having that control.

  • Thankyou for the appreciation :)

I found a site that has some great tips. Go to alex grey's website (alex grey dot com) and go to the forum...and from there just browse the stuff having to do with meditation/mind/etc etc. There was a post on there somewhere about de ja vu that talks a bit about some good mind tricks.

  • the only experience you get from relaxing your mind is a kind of state where your thoughts are very light and there is light ablaze which you rest in. another technique is to use a mantra or affirmation, for example (with your inner voice) "i am extremely relaxed and comfortable" or "i am resting in peace and harmony" . you can make your own too

  • most people cant mentally relax because they don't notice that they feel like their in a rush get all those thoughts and ideas out of their so they can calm down...its a subconscious thing. Just try and forget that anything matters, you have to seriously in a way just give up/give in...tell yourself that. Have no worries, you can't worry at all, forget about the phone...or whatever....have no distractions... you want to simply achieve nothing...dont be anticipating something....

  • also on relaxing your mind - become nothing, become what you are when not in your body; your spirit. If something pops up in your head or you start day dreaming, and you catch yourself doing so, dont worry or stress about it just let it breeze by.... basically, you just have to make time disolve and not worry about the ending of it or how long it will take.... just drop all worries, thouhts, wants, sense of time, etc.

  • thanks lol

  • Wow, I actually did the sitting/meditating thing way back in high school during lunch, some times. I even did the feet across the same way you did because it felt good on my back. Never knew I was doing a yoga move! It did eventually give me a dead leg, though. How do you avoid that?

  • If you feel it happening switch your legs up or sit with your knees pointed forward and rest your butt on your heels. And cool you've been doing yoga all these years without a single yoga class, video or book, Grab yourself a beer.

    Tara

  • Tara's yoga videos are my favorite. I'd love to see more of them. Seeing the advanced stuff she can do is fun and the beginners/intermediate stuff is good to try along with. Thanks!

  • keep them comming!

  • SEXY!!!

  • this is good for those days i cant make it to yoga

    nice job tara

  • nice and fancy pants - I like ;-o

  • she's so cute! I love these videos, I love trying them at home :p

  • thx tara

  • I love Tara's videos!

Does Yoga really build flexibility or does this flexibility or hers come from the fact she's a dancer?

  • Bahlau, here is Tara's answer (1/2):

I actually became more flexible from practicing yoga then just my dance training alone. Hugging the muscles onto the bone while stretching the muscle fibers protects from tears. I tore a lot of muscles and was constantly sore when i was training as a dancer because to achieve a lot of what is necessary in dance you work for the end result of the positions, not necessarily the movement all the time.

  • Bahlau, here is Tara's answer (2/2):

Concentrating on the whole movement of each asana in yoga actually improved my flexibility. The use of the breath is key in gaining flexibility. Breathing into the tight areas, we all have them, creates space in the body to actually physically open up room. Adding yoga to life as a dancer or any other sport will improve not only flexibilty, but strength, and over all movement quality and focus.

  • Thanks a lot for the quick answer, Tara (and Fordmodels)! Being a martial artist and a dancer, I've always wanted to build my flexibility, but I found it extremely difficult and I didn't see a lot of improvements. I was quite desperate all the more so since I'm a man and I'm already 21. I'll try to concentrate on my breath from now on. Thanks a lot for the advice.
