  • Man I love chemistry my friends think Im a little to smart for my own good.

I'm in 7th grade by the way

    I'm good at chemistry

    (^-^)

  • That's so much fun!

  • Dat chalk.

  • I wish this guy was my professor...

  • This is soo interesting!, i love this, but i don't get how (IF4)^-, is symmetrical, isn't it assymetrical 5 bonds?

  • @rohannesburg Yes....5 bonds.....but they are arranged symmetrically: three bonds are trigonal planar, and the remaining two are linear, with one above the trigonal plane and one below it.

  • Im a medicine student in Belgium and I find his lecture so easy to understand , he's brilliant! It's a pitty to see only about 16,000 looked at these MIT videos but million looked at Miley Cyrus or Jackass ..

  • place NB domains at equatorial positions in a trigonal bipyramid

  • jesus hes good.

  • - make WATER DANCE....100C .. is only the reaction of liquid... make the gas DANCE.. "MAKE IT HOT" .

  • 34:55 "YOU DONT KNOW THE POWER... OF(r) THE DARK SIDE ! " ....

using F. aust against students... the griffon claw.. and the wich S face?

    AMAC HOR...

  • the lectures are very very good. But i just hope that all of the visuals be shown for the purpose of completeness.

  • he sounds like a really good professor

  • Fun professor, and the stuff was well covered.

This is the best MIT course I've seen on youtube. Many of them are TERRIBLE (I think of an electrochemistry course lectured by a woman, in particular).

  • the ending is brilliant !!!

  • Which one of these guys will use this knowledge to make meth?

How long can this guy talk before he drinks water?

  • This class looks pretty interesting, but i dunno if they offer intro to solid state chemistry at my school : - (

  • I am a BioChemistry Major at University of California Santa Barbara, my O-chem class professor is pretty good, but damn this guy is the master, and somehow even though he is super fast, he is ridiculously clear in explaining, and super efficient with his choice of words to get the idea to the students, WOW, i wish this was my professor.

  • this guy is doing it old school with the chalk and black board!

  • which lectures contains Metallic bond and Alloying ?

    pls reply this

  • I never had this in freshman Chem at Penn State. I don't think I ever encountered anything beyond the 2s2p's, which show up in organic chem. I am thoroughly enjoying all the sciences on You Tube.

However, I did detect an error. The electronic configuration for sulfur is not what is shown. Oxygen is 2s2 2p4. Sulfur is 3s2 3p4. The 2 level has no d, which should have given it away.

  • Very inspiring teacher, makes you love molecular orbital clouds, but he should definitely cut back on the stimulants around lecture time. I suggest half an Atavan before class to mellow things out, or better yet a joint to relax the nerves. However, mysciencenow may be on to something with the robot theory.

    Peace.

  • hehe, interesting consideration about diamond at the end of the video

  • wow im in grade 11 and I started learnin all about this blocks and orbatals this year.

    It sounds os hard

  • That guy is good

  • WTF the other day there's a playlist and next day its gone?? wats it??

  • he's super good but super fast!

  • Breath more!

  • thanks this really helped me understand the theory of molecular orbitals.

  • Thank you for sharing your knowledge with those of us who can't be in the class with you.

  • i think hes a robot maybe

  • very good professor!
