Despite the censorship, this is still my favorite version of the game, the soundtrack alone makes it superior to all versions. Oddly enough, I didn't notice the changes when I played the PC version years after playing the NES version, I guess I always knew that there was something more to it.

For the purists, someone released rom for the unedited NES version, so now we can all play the game fully in it's superior version.

Its a shame that Nintendo have gone from one extreme to another with censorship and quality control. NES Over the Top Political Correctness and awful games were blocked (But still appeared on pirate carts.) To the complete opposite Madworld and the realm of shovelware that sees seems to infest the DS and Wii todays :-). I wish Nintendo had sort of a compromise...
