@zackattack94 Once you've tasted well tuned singly ply heads you'll hate pinstripes. Except on cheap kits maybe, they kind of make them sound a little bit better, but it's because you hear the head, not the wood, pinstripes kill harmonics

@zackattack94 I wasn't suggesting you had a cheap set man, but really all the best sounding toms have single ply heads, emperors at most, but dampening rings on heads kill down the tone, as this video clearly proves. Lots of drummers have their heads tuned like that, listen to Whitesnake (the album) tommy aldridge's sound sucks VERY hard
