When I was 9 years old some bunch of teenage girls (short,ugly... the sort.) heard me speaking in English and they started saying bad things about me in Chinese. So I just glared at them and started communicating in Chinese with my sister,and switched to Korean when speaking with my mom,then I talked to both of them in English as usual. The girls' faces were priceless. XD

Just stumble upon your post. Am Aussie Chinese and been to Hong kong a couple of times. I'm sure if you stop wearing those blue contact lenses and start speaking to them in Cantonese.....even if its just broken cantonese. I bet they will be very friendly and even curious about you. I've seen how the local react when I saw a blond! Chinese girl got onto the MTR!
