  • Wizards representin' hahahaha

  • who goes to wizards games lol

  • You know what i dont understand, Why dont teachers just teach like tutors or like they do here online? everyone always seems confused in class but just one session with tutors (most of the time) and BAM! they get it, or students go home, look up information on wikipedia and youtube and BAM! they get it......c'mon professors! its like you purposely make it hard for your students. classes woudl be so much shorter, test grades higher etc.

  • too bad this is the last one that can help me... :(

  • Soooo. Someone's a Wizard's fan.

    Cough.

  • я вас обожнюю!!! <3

  • I love you so much!!!!

  • @yeahyeahsuresure

    me too

  • Miss, thank you so much for your help! (and thank you, cameraperson, as well!) My chemistry professor's lectures are rather boring, so this was a refreshing (and clear!) tutorial on net ionic equations. I finally understand! Thank you so much again. This video, and the others as well, are amazing. I wish I could hug you ^^;

  • you're so much help!! thank you!!!

  • God Bless you ma'am, God Bless you YouTube, God Bless you Internet.

  • brains and beauty ;)

  • Thank god I found this video, I've been doing pretty bad on the homeworks we get almost every night just because I don't fully understand what the teacher's talking about in class, but with this video it REALLY made sense. Definitely watching these either before or after my class so I can pick up my grade and really learn something.

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • i love you

  • thank you so muchhh. :D

  • WTF honestly i have exams tommorow and ive been trying to understand this for about 2 months..... you made it clear within 5 minutes?! THANK GOD FOR YOU MISS!

  • I hate chemistry with the burning passion of 1000000 suns. Why can't my teacher teach us like this??

  • @StevieZhou since youre assuming so much were gonna assume youre a brown nose who sucks up to all his teachers not everyone does though and this is a good resource for those who dont

  • you explain this stuff so well!. Like most other people in the comments that said how badly their teachers teach, some goes for me. I have a teacher that has no idea how to properly explain concepts and watching this makes chem seem 100x easier

  • I just wanted to say that you are amazing. I'm studying for finals, and my chem teacher wasn't the best. I was able to get the jyst of the topic we were covering, but never fully understood it. Teachers these days teach for the benifits, (summers off weekends, hours and what not) and when students finally see a teacher, who likes to help kids learn, it makes school so much better. If only I found this earlier in the year :) anyways THANKS SO MUCH and it was perfect speed,

  • @ReehanCarroll Exactly at 5:51 .. Why did she write Al(OH)3? Why did she write OH inside parenthesis but the reactant NaOH didn't have a parenthesis around the OH.. I don't get that... please help??

  • The reason the OH is in brackets is because the ratio is 1Al to 3OH so by putting the bracket around the OH, you can then apply the 3, to both Oxygen and Hydrogen. Because NaOH is just 1:1 or 1Na to 1OH, you don't need to put brackets around the OH. Say you had Ca+2 plus OH- the ratio after balancing and stuff is going to be Ca(OH)2 because you need 2 OH to balance. I don't know if I helped at all :S if not actually message me and I'll try to explain it better. I don't have enough room

  • @ReehanCarroll No no you explained it perfectly fine. I got everything you said. Thank you!! :)

  • @lolhahah21 No problem :)

  • I was about to drop my Chemistry class< and then I found you on here! When you explain this it makes perfect sense. Thank you so much !

It's fine that you may talk fast, all people need to do is pause the video and take notes or just watch you again. !!!!! You rock !

  • My parents pay $12,000 for me to go to a private school, and yet I can learn more watching this 9-minute FREE video than I have a whole half of year in my chemistry class. I wish she was my teacher. My chemistry teacher is a nice guy but he's VERY monotone and assumes you already know everything so he doesn't explain. He just writes an example on the board and assumes you understand exactly what he just did.

  • @Nicole3900 Story of my life.

  • Helpful but spectating a wizards game? Lol

  • This+Finals=Aced

  • Thank you! You are so helpful with all of your videos ^.^

  • Thanks!!!

  • I THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH OUR GOD DAM EDUCATIONAL SYTEM

  • takes note."ppt. is for precipitate. Not powerpoint"

  • i love the feeling you get when you actually UNDERSTAND something. thanks.

  • thank you"!!

  • Very helpful:). Thank you

  • thank u so much..!! this is really really helpful..

my brain went crazy to complete my hmework..

now , im compltely understand ionic eq..

    btw, subscribed..!

will check on your vids again.. thanks..

  • Thank you so much! I love the use of simpleness and clarity in this video!

  • Good video but Never forget the phases for your Ions. It's so important

  • When I get to the Spectators Part I always end up crossing everything out! What am I doing wrong?

~ 10th grade HN chem. student

  • YOU'RE ALWAYS A LIFESAVER! :D

  • thanks! :D

  • all my ions are spectators WTF

  • I still don't understand at all

  • Press 4 and she talks about potatoes....

  • I FUCKING LOVE YOU. it took you 9 min to explain (over the Internet) what took 3 days for my teacher to teach- and he did a shitty job at explaining

  • @SkilledBaby95 I have to agree this was probably the best thing I could have ever watched I LOVE YOU

  • @SkilledBaby95 That happens because you didn't pay attention to your teacher when he was teaching. Now you are in trouble because you have a test tomorrow and you don't know what to do. Then you try to find your topic on YouTube and learn it again. This time you forced yourself to be focus. So don,t blame on your teacher if its your fault.

  • @StevieZhou nooooo we just have shitty teachers

  • @StevieZhou u have no right to assume this person didnt pay attention and to assume that the teacher isnt shitty. u have no idea, that person can blame whoever they want

  • @StevieZhou K, you dont know anything about me or my teacher. no did not have a test tomorrow, no im not in trouble, and no its not my fault. my teacher hates his job he doesnt look for lost tests, projects, he does not take up homework cuz its "too much work" and he realy does suck at explaining. He spends more time working out in a gym that explaining to his students. so please dont get to conclusions like these , it shouldn't even concern you

  • @SkilledBaby95 Oh...sorry about that then. My school has really nice teachers. I always assume that all the kids go to private schools.

  • @SkilledBaby95 Kid, its good to come here and study but do not say your teacher suck. I don't think all the kids in your chemistry class don't understand what you teacher taught them and go on youtube and restudy it again.

  • @xbj199498007 Same thing goes to you "Kid", i am getting the highest of my class because of these small vids on the internet, most of my class mates dont even bother going secondary sources and end up with a lower mark. so dont sit there telling me that teachers are always right and students are wrong. Cuz its not

  • Ok so I was in class doing this for about 2 days, hour a day. So 2 hours of a teacher in front of me trying to explain this all to me. I understood more in the 9:37 minutes that I just spent than those 2 hours.

  • the whole HOH being the same as H20 just made doing my homework possible. thank you!!!

  • every explanation from this woman is amazing!!!!!

  • The Wizards though?!?!

  • You are an angel and the answer to my prayers. Oh my goodness. Thank you soooo much!

  • pause the vid and put on 9:26 mark

  • thanks

  • she's hot

  • Is it okay to balance the equation once you're done with the problem?

  • finally, somebody who makes it make sense :O thank you so much

  • I love you with a burning passion of white-hot intensity of a thousand suns.

  • Hey if you have 2Na(OH)3 (aq) ---> 6FeOH (aq) Do the Hydroxides cancel each other out? There's six on each side, but it's just written differently. Does that make a difference?

  • thanks so much! saved me for my test

  • Wow, I used to not believe in god, but how could something so awesome such as you come from random chance? Nehh, god's still not real, but you're definitely awesome.

  • In 10 minutes, you answered my prayers. Thanks for the help!

  • Oh my gosh! Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this helped me! My teacher is really lazy and never takes the time to explain this, and I have a Unit test on Tuesday- so I was really stressing, but this is so clear and helpful!! Keep making the awesome vids!!!!!!

  • now to ask ourselves...............why do we pay for school?

  • pause the video at 8:35 hahaha

  • Thank you!

  • why are all left handed people genious???

  • what do the brackets mean any one know ?

  • can you teach my teacher? thanks to you i no longer will need to pay for tutoring.....I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE YOU!!

  • Finally!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE ME UNDERSTAND CHEMISTRY... hitting the sub button in 3...2...1...

  • you are better than my stupied instructor . thank you so much honey. i love the way you teach.

  • you are amazing o_o my science exam seems a lot less threatening now!

  • Hate the way she talks love the way she teaches...Great Job!

  • This helped, explain a lot... thank you so much. Although, I wish you did few more problems or posted up some net ionic equations that we could work out then give us the correct answer. But... great tutorial anyways. =)

  • mehhhhh

  • Wow! ...How can I thank you? Your the best.

  • This is not very helpful. The entire HARD POINT of net ionic equation is finding how the reactants combine to produce a product but you started with the reactants and products and didn't explain what happened. "Double Replacement" is simply not a good enough explanation. The whole point of net ionic equations is using the the,"Solubility of Common Compounds in Water" sheet to find out which compounds go with which.

  • i will come here everyday !!!

  • Thanks this helps!

  • God I love this women..

  • I love you. Thank you for being awesome.

  • THIS HELPED SO MUCH! THANK YOU:)

  • OMG!!! i get it now ...thank u!!!!

  • We did notes for two hours and I didn't get it. I'm on YouTube for five minutes and Eureka! Lesson learned, don't pay attention in class, your better off on your own!

  • thank you SO much, that was so simple and clear.

  • you saved me :)

  • i still dont understand. in school i just learned there was Molecular equation, Net ionic, and Complete ionic. wheres the molecular? or is it the same thing as overall? or does this video not talk about moleculat or complete ionic at all? (cuz it is titled JUST net ionic.) CONFUSED

  • Wizards suck lol

  • I think something is wrong with our educational system

  • makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE NOW..i have no idea what my teacher was talking about before

  • just thanks it was supper great. i wish she was my teacher.

  • Thank you so much I'm not as lost anymore :)

  • Why does my teacher make this so much harder than it issss!! (-__-)

  • wow thanks! my college professor didn't explain it that quickly or easy. a 4 hour lecture and we were all a bit lost. Very clear and easy steps to follow thanks

  • Thanks it helped! :)

  • I love u:)

  • I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

  • damn my chem teacher sucks.

  • "wizard's game...." like a DUEL???

  • @paraplegicgiraffe like the Washington Wizards, the basketball team. lol.

  • slow down.. this is chemistry not a speech class!

  • Started AP Chem this year and completely forgot how to do it from last year. Helped a bunch. Thanks.

  • super informative, cleared my many doubts! Thaanks a lot :)!

  • Thank you very much! great tutotial

  • 8:35

  • how to write net ionic equation of NaOH(s) --> Na+ (aq) + OH- (aq). thanks

  • I love you, you are very helpful, thanks. XOX

  • i thought that I was going to be a pioneer and comment "left handed people will rule the world" seems someone beat me to it :/ awesome explanation! God Bless You!

  • This was awesome wonderful explanation

  • how doo you know the charges of the elements?

  • thanks alot, youi really helped me figuring this thing out. i wish my teacher exxplained like u

  • u are so good, i have a final tommorrow and im sad i now found you.

  • Oh MI GODD! SHE has the HOTTEST voice!!!

  • GOD BLESS YOUR LEFT HAND MS'S

  • Wizards? HA! MAVS!

    MRS. NIAJ = FA!L

  • 6,455 people have mrs. sumner and can't figure out how to do net ionic equations.

  • at 2:16 doesn't she mean Cu 2+ instead of +2? or is it an American thing?

  • @Nytrox3000 : yeah mannn, i kinda confused at that part O.o 2+? or +2?

  • Thank you for being so specific!

  • i love you

  • I love this woman, she brought clarity and understanding into my cloudy and dark world.

  • @dadudeguy2vlog haha well put

  • thank you soooo much!

  • thanks nice video but i would like to know how do write the formula based of the name given.. an example would be sodium carbonate is added to hydrobromic acid.. how would you write the equation to find the net ionic equation? please respond back i need help

  • @SolidSnake013Duds Hey there, dunno if it's any use to you now, but if you're still looking for help, try googling for "IUPAC nomenclature" as this is the system used to name molecular compounds pretty much everywhere today :)

I think wikipedia might have a somewhat comprehensive page about it, but i haven't checked, but at least i can tell you the name of the naming system involved ^^

  • Great video. It really explains in detail what the equations really mean and it's a great recap for any former chemistry student. Thumbs up :).

  • Thank you, In less than five minutes, you explained what my teacher couldn't explain in an hour.

  • @SaintWilliamIII so true...

  • Thank you. Very good video.

  • she is an excellent teacher. thank you. :)

  • hi thanks for the help but i was wondering how did you know if it was aqueous or something else like a liquid or solid or gas. please help/respond back

  • thanks a ton that helped a lot :)

  • LEFT HANDED PEOPLE WILL RULE THE WORLD...

  • @710418o left handed people also die earlier ;)

  • @710418o totally!

  • You should teach my teacher this

  • I love you. You helped refresh my brain for an AP Chem midterm.

  • I don't get it....why isn't OH a spectator, if there's also an OH on the the product side....I get that there's 2 2Na's on each side and 2 2Cl's on each side, but there's an OH on each side too....why aren't they spectators..

  • @HaxsForYou hydroxide (OH-) ions. The hydroxides in the product are bonded with the copper (Cu). The Na's and Cl's are ions on both sides, because they were in aqueous solutions. Because the hydroxides in the reactants bond with the copper, they are not spectating, but effecting the final outcome. In this case, they form the precipitate.

  • thnx very much

  • Thank You.. You just helped me pass my test!!

  • Thanks for teaching me this information. You are stunningly beautiful and cunningly intelligent. Wwwhhhhat a combination.

  • thx this was great! and helpful

  • thank you! Great help
