(napa, radits, broly and tutles survive but were evil) and then later on their children were oviously good. so he got some of the basics

On the Z edition dvd there's quite an interesting interview with Justin Chatwin. I'm pretty sure he knew about as much of the source material as Marsters. If anything, Marsters was just trying to cover his ass real hard as he knew this movie was gonna flop. Chatwin speaks about how wrong the hair was, how the fight scenes were cut down because of the budget, and how he would have had a better time if the movie was in different hands. Marsters is a real bastard.

I don't remember Piccolo displaying much force like ability but it is a reasonable ability as they use their ki to lift their bodies off the ground and move objects. its not too hard to believe that Piccolo could use it to crush something as well, by putting his ki around a building and pushing it on all sides.

I think that the costumes and make-up look fine; they come across well and also it would be very silly to other audiences (except for DBZ fans) if Goku grew up to 18 years old in a jungle and didn't go to school; personally I think it will be funny (I can imagine how hilariously stupid he would act in school, Ha... I could see it now). The director and script writer, I think did fine by doing that for those reasons. The director did try to hold onto and leave as many elements from the comics.

Last, since there have been more super-hero movies in recent years since Blade and X-MEN, diehardcore comic fanboys and girls have become too demanding and rude/mean directly towards or concerning the actors, actresses, director, and even script writers. Justin Chatwin honestly has the child-like facial features and almost the right personality for Goku. He may not be as funny, goofy, and comedic as Jackie Chan, but Jackie doesn't look like Goku period. I like the martial arts fighting, the special effects and energy attacks look very realistic (it just needed some laser effects sometimes which may hopefully be in the sequel) and I like the cast except for the guy who plays Yamcha (I would rather see someone like Lui Kang play him).

I know that they should have gotten an actor who looked exactly like Master Roshi with his personality and Krillin/Tien should be in the movie which I don't like, but hey... hopefully they'll be in the sequel because they're important characters and the death of Krillin is what sparks Goku to transform into a Super Saiya-jin. Goku may be an asian (Chinese or Japanese) super-hero, but he actually looks caucassian with black spiky hair. If Goku was tan, then turned white as S.S: it makes no sense.

Personally, I think that the movie won't be as the closed-minded, stubborn diehardcore Dragonball Z fans say it is and will be. I mean think about when Superman first came out in 1978, Christopher Reeve captured and brought the character to life and there were no CGI awesome special effects. People back then were more open, not so judging and critical, and were more light-hearted. Those were better days than this generation. Plus, a movie based on a comic shouldn't be exactly like it.

First and foremost. You haven't seen the movie either. You've seen the international version which had a lot of content cut out to appeal to other audiences. The American version is longer and will be released later this week. Watch it and base your judgment on that and not on some half assed version recorded by a camcorder.

yes i've seen the movie. its not that good but i dont care. btw its not as bad as any of the street fighters. yes pretty crappy fight scenes but i still got hope that the 30 mins missed out on the bootleg version can improve it looooooooooooool yes i know what i jus said but u always gotta hope
