  • check out my video!

  • Adobe works good. I had the opportunity to examine a couple adobe structures in California that are about 100 years old. Looks like it did not have any issues with rain... search for Pena Adobe house in California, it's just of many.

  • Cow shit and straw is the best. In India they make bricks out of cow shit.

  • You have to live in that from some so called economic collapse? lawls.

  • if everything goes to hell what is there to live for....

  • @mharrop396 life itself

  • @mharrop396 To survive when all others die, to survive to see what happens next, to survive because you can.

  • @mharrop396 well it cant be worse than spending 3-7hours of the day on video games lol

  • why build a log home that needs chinking? that's the biggest maintenance problem on log homes. a better way is to groove the undersides of the logs so you don't need chinking. takes longer to build, but it pays off in the long run.

  • @aseglkj amen bro its called the swedish cove...

  • also that park along with many others have peet boggs and you can make iron from peet fyi learn how (its hard) for the metal question

  • For you people dumb enough to think a lone person can't survive alone, here's news. People have survived alone, are surviving alone and will continue to survive alone since pre-history. You could NOT survive alone but obviously you have no idea about surviving. I'm no expert but I do have a brain. The bigger a person's ego, the least they know. Yes, I mean you.

  • If I was the chief of a new American government that wanted to enslave the citizenry. The first thing I would do is watch You Tube to find the location of every survivalist who was stupid enough to brag about what he had. Then I would send flying drones to destroy each of those compounds insuring the entire population was dependent on me and my benevolently allocated government food rations.

  • @ILOVE0ZMOVIES LOL, yeah, sure. One slight problem with your enslave the people (LOL) plans (LOL). For that to happen, you would need NO ELECTRICITY, NO INTERNET and NO YOUTUBE. And you are going to watch one without the others? LOL. And you plan to be the chief? LOL Thanks for all the laughs. Any brain matter up there? LOL Uh, you're so tough. LOL

  • @1caramarie God you are as dumb as rocks. You missed the whole point of what I just said. STOP TELLING THE GODAM GOVERNMENT WHAT YOU GOT ON YOUTUBE OR YOU WILL BE THE FIRST TARGET YOU DIP SPIT FOR BRAINS!

  • @ILOVE0ZMOVIES that would be intelligent accept any true survivalist like me and alot of people i know have between 3 and 7 camps set up through out the state so you would never find all of them or know which one we are at

  • bald!!!

  • @urbanagain So where is your cabin?

  • @urbanagain interesting to know that you think you'd be living comfortably in a FEMA camp. you need some better intel on the subject.

  • hmm termites sure would suck

  • you are whiter than michel jackson

  • Looks like Ma and Paw Kettle lived there. What a POS… You can see light coming through the walls. Where’s the live stock?

  • @TheCaneArtist Can't wait to see your cabin! Please post a video for us

  • I am totally shocked, this guy doesn't seem as well educated on the life back then. Maybe because he has a degree and learned this in college? I don't know, but he did not mention the most important fact in them there days, was that these people helped one another out. They had to not for money alone, nor friendship, but for their own survival. Life was much harsher tough then, and the people who did survive, helped others survive! That is the most important fact in the reality of this situation.

  • @grangersmith Very true, how lone survivalist dont get this is beyhond me, I am well up for this type of living and living of the land but we are kidding ourselves if we think we can do it alone, Just think how long to gather wood too survive the winter, cook, wash, mend clothes, hunt, gather , farm etc etc.

  • @wakingup78 The biggest realistic problem, is money. You will need enough to get this stuff done (supplies for building) not to mention, you can't OWE money. Thats the hardest part. No car payments, phone, house, etc. Then, finding public land that you CAN live on. The government and our culture has pretty much ruined it for people who would rather live like this. :(

  • @SUP3RZ0MB1E if you have the grit you can still get land in alaska you do neen the tools though

  • @weyghrwyjdtjhjerhjwr I do not live in the US, so Alaska is out of the question for me. (Not interested in moving to another country as of yet)

  • @SUP3RZ0MB1E A lot of people do have the problem of money, but if you have a little ingenuity, you can do this without a lot of money. A lot of materials for building a simple shelter, or cabin are available at low cost, or free. Recycled doors, windows, etc, as well as natural materials (logs) are available. Many people throw away serviceable items such as chairs and tables. The land depends on where you live, but there are parcels of land available at low cost. Simplify lifestyle, be free

  • @snakemanmike Like I said, you still have to have enough money, that you can pay off all debt. Lots of people have tons of debt that they owe (for a car, house, phone, credit cards, etc). You dont need lots of CASH to do this, just the money to get yourself "off the grid" so to speak.

  • @wakingup78 Wrong. Lone survival is part of nature just as the group survival is.

  • I like this stuff, but please, you gotta get off this "survivalist mode"....except it's your lifestyle...

  • like some information this write me at espiritwild09@aol.com

  • Excellent video. Thanks for posting. It is people like you that will survive through tough times.

  • Wow, how great that the world is as gay as it is that this is totally exciting to me. Thanks, you gay, butt-ramming Illuminati queer-baits (nothing wrong with being gay, by-the-by, but if you're a douche NWO-fag, then fuck-you, you fucking privileged cunt.).

  • linkin logs to the max

  • verry cool

  • keep up the good work. next generations next to understand self sufficency.

  • are we going back in time??? it sure seems like it

  • @WonderWomanFan4life If we lose power, yes, we will go way back in time. IF there was nuclear war, we would have no power, so we would go back to having to survive without it. Prepare or don't up to you, but I will be ready, and if it's a waste of time, then good, but I will survive. Will you?

  • sweet

  • shit works the best

  • @vorkev1 Damn, could you imagine the smell in that cabin? Haha, hey guy's come in my cabin.. NO, it smells like shit.. Haha, good, more room for me..

  • Except on a temporary basis, shakes were not used on homes, but on sheds and smaller outbuildings.

  • contex?

  • OH MY GOD THERES A CATASTROPHE AND THESE TWO ARE THE ONLY ONES TO SURVIVE, HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!

  • u forgot poo (in the mud)

  • small buckets? Why not just do them by hand!

  • do ya live in a real estate tax free state? if ya don't it won't ever truly be urs

  • Be careful about mole holes dirt has fecal matter that will kill you. Rodents carry diseases use another location where no fecal matter is or cook it but dont breath materical

  • @silverton7777 You are right about rodents but moles are insectovores, not rodents.

  • dude you sound so much like David Schwimmer

  • I wish I had a neat pioneer village.

  • We have old cabins like that here in the Sierras and new ones being built by off the grid neighbors. Mark Twains cabin east of me is about that size. Great video. Do more....

  • You know the UNA bomber lived in a shed like that. just sayin..

  • How is this related to tobacco consumption? Answer in the form of a question.

  • What about protection for when the blacks and latins start taking advantage of all your hard work? I'm sure they are not thinking about survival preparedness. I really don't meen to sound racist, but I'm always thinking about these situations, I have a disabled younger brother, his wife and son are vulnerable due to the area sourounding his neighborhood. Hurricane seasons proved to us that our area was just about lawless, infultrating his neighborhood for days on end like a pack of wild dogs.

  • So this kind of structure wouldnt fair well in the rainy southern states im guessing?

  • south west Nebraska has homesteads no longer used that could fill the need for those in the mood the day after.

  • Well I know how to fish, and got a fish and how to cook or smoke it. My girlfriend know s how to shoot and is an excellent markmans ship . She is the qualifications from the NAVY. And she has a herd of cattle that her brother takes care of. I think we will survive

  • @AngelikavonDeutschla You could get attacked by a group of marines lol.

  • Sometimes I think: It would be great if we no longer had energy.

That would end society as we know it but I like this primitive way of living.

I think I would be more succesful and satisfied in a society like that than this fake one we have now.

Sure, will not always be easy and I will miss things but...

  • i dont think its a good ideal telling where that bug out location is. :(

  • Hi Guys,

We are neighbors, I live here in Eugene. Thanks for the thoughtful video ! ! !

  • What about termites?

  • Dorris ranch is such an awesome and beautiful place to walk around at, especially during the summer.

  • It is really SAD!!! :-( Insted of people informing each other in how to stop these satanic busteds, they are building this!!? I have all the respect for you for doing that, but have you used just as much time to learn exacly what is happening to America, who is doing it and why, and how to stop these satans!!? Wake up!! Look at the food you are eating!? even if you grow organic they will destroy it for you with their chimtrails..LEARN AND INFORM!!

  • @AnglesM888 The fact is, no one can stop what you describe alone. I spent more than a decade in court, hosting educational seminars and disseminating information. Unfortunately, most people can't even conceive the scale of what is happening. Now that it's probably too late to avoid the crash, we must resist and prepare. Having spent more time learning and informing than preparing, what I learned is that it's now time to prepare.

  • @SurefireWoodsman Now that i have seen all of your video's, i have alot of more respect for you Brother. I think what we all have to remember is that it doesnt take much to start a revolution, but because people are not as decivefull as the evil rich who have a biljon tons of preshess metal hidden somewhere, they get jacked again and again. Some big brains in America didnt wanted revolution during bush time, and i understand that today. It takes time to educate people.I pray for that day...:-)

  • @AnglesM888 You can start by checking your spelling..... Just a suggestion...Not an insult

  • looks more like a rapist cabin

  • its not the euro collapsing its the british pound thats doing that ,listen up all petrol or gas as the guys across the pond call it ,is $11 a gallon here in the uk ,the govt is taxing us to death and we are letting them get away with it ,first they take the guns away then they take our money to roll on the revolution coz its coming to a place near you very soon.

  • @hunterkiller45 That is why riots and protests are so destructive in Europe.... Because you guys don't have guns.. If some soccer fans or underpaid workers tried to flip and burn my car I would shoot them.. Your government isn't afraid of you guys because you destroy your own things and not their powerful positions. I love watching European protest...its better than chimpanzee island on animal planet..

  • u need to ad poo to the mud

  • If you are afraid of a economic collapse, simply go to Europe.

Because almost every corrupt American CEO runs away to Europe with hundreds of millions of dollars of company money.

  • @solobackpacking the euro is failing thats why americans are fearing economic collapse . stop listening to liberal bullshit and do your own researsh diarhea brain

  • @MrTarantulalover

LOL, so American CEOs aren;t running away to Europe with all our company money?

Grow up and get a education.

  • @solobackpacking they might be banking offshore, but not completely removing themselves from america; there are plenty of hookers & cocaine here for them.

  • @SymAmineC8H11N

    LOL !

Maybe they like the imagery of French hookers.

  • @solobackpacking nah, french hookers aren't all they're cracked up to be...

  • Awesome!!!!

  • man that cabin looks like a LOT of work.

  • poop shooters.......

  • the mud. lol it's called adobe. most of the (traditional) houses in the southwest are made from it. very simple, very cheap, very durable. it requires no insulation, so it keeps the heat in when its cold, and keeps the cool in when its hot.

  • cdtpx, you are a moron this is mostly all made from the earth, and as far as water you find a stream or lake if you have to filter and boil it. This is much cheaper then some gay ass dome. Your just dependent and dont understand jack. Its not for laziness and luxury its survival dipshit. you grow food hunt it. haul water. Is that really so much different then you would have to do in your eco dome. No you'd have to do the same process unless you get a well drilled.

  • mineral soil sand and clay is better for chinking. All readily available from mother earth.

  • i think its callled thatch right??

  • The gap behind him at 2:30 + is great.

  • interesting i would however advise better camera work;lighting, stability, etc.

  • check out the book, "Barefoot Architecture" by Johan van Lengen

  • The best survival shelter OMHO would be a MONOLITHIC DOME or an ECO DOME either way they are the least expensive to errect and you have a bullet proof home settlers used what they had we now have a choice and should choose the best.Get a wheeled cart to carry water. The dome should have water collection means. This is interesting but I would not invest an ounce of sweat into that structure.

  • @cdltpx Then you would be homeless... In the event of economic collapse who is going to build that fancy dome for you? How will you pay for it? How will it be bulletproof if your consumer addiction causes it to be made in China cheaply? You are what is wrong with this world.."I would not invest an ounce of sweat into that structure". I bet all you want is to be fat, stuck on a couch, fed by a machine, and breathing with a ventilator so you don't have to exert yourself when taking a breath.

  • @monkybit You are not DC you are YP I can tell by your distain for people that are overweight. YP you are the biggest shit starting troll on the interweb. See the key word you used for me is WANT what I have is not what I want I want to be able to do like I use to. I was very active I usually spent my LIFE volunteeing. I have done more by hardly trying than most have done by busting their ass. You are healthy great but you are mentall ill and you are scum for the way you talk to others.

  • @monkybit You tried to make this sock acct look like DC you are probably YP the prick that cast a stone and hides his face. Hates overweight people makes derogatory comments about southerners has good health but rather than spend his time volunteering as I have done with most of my spare time when I was healthy uses his time to troll up the interweb. The only god you represent is the devil.

  • @cdltpx Actually I spend most of my time volunteering for a faith-based non-profit and am pursuing an environmental degree. I just hate when ppl have a superiority complex and loath some one else's physical effort and success, just because its not how they would have done it. Further, the best shelter is one you create yourself out of renewable resources...like the wood and earthen cabin in this video.

  • @monkybit Have you studied the MDI dome? Great the man built something truly is I have not been able to do this will never now? I have built many homes but they were all for someone else. The best shelter is the one you can produce RE or not I perfer a home that would have the insulation, durability , indestructability, and low cost as the MDI dome. I want the structure that will use .25 energy that alone should pay for it I also want to know if a torando pops up I will live home intact.

  • @monkybit I too use to volunteer until an act of god took my health away. Great to volunteer really is BUT build something for yourself while you still have the health because when you are injured and can't do it for yourself all your good deeds are tucked away in heaven now it is your turn to suffer. The Lord blesses the child that has his own, Been many miles in your shoes I gave all I got fucked in return go on with your judgment and your spry young body I had one but it gets taken fast.

  • @cdltpx God bless you, health can go fast, I know.

  • @monkybit Dome homes ARE bullet proof they fired a 30/0/06 into the wall of one and the DOME stopped the bullet. IT LITERALLY IS BULLET PROOF !

  • Beautiful Cabin ! Very inspiring for anyone with a bit o land !

  • nice another Oregonian youtuber

  • you should use clay, that is how people in the olden days build homes

  • Really good video!!! If you have any time to prepare...get a bucket (or some tubes)of Perma Chink. Best stuff going for chinking material or even calking where durability is a must. I used it around replacement windows in my home...still flexible and weather tight after +10 years.

  • =OoO=

Problem:-Lack of Allodial possessory Title means if Taxes aren't paid, the REAL Owner of the property Liens & then claims it dispossessing the "Squatter" in the process.

Legal Fictions (Real Estate) Purchased with Legal Tender (Debt Instruments) & NOT real Money makes the "Property" confiscatory under colour of Law.

Might want to research that a bit........!!GaaaaaaacK!!

  • we have all the resources to build things- it's all the laws and bullshit that keep ppl under the gun and paying for junk we don't really need

  • cool video,

I recently just bought a family cottage *grampas*, for cheapp.

25,000. Now its nicer then that log cabin, on a secluded 5 acers, near Algonqiun park *Ontario, Canada*

Money wise, its worth just over 100,000.

Anyways, After this whole economic stuff.. its nice knowing I own this etc.

And as a bonus, HA are surrounding my property, and am *cool* with them,

IE, My property is always protected.

  • Nice cabin!

You can see my solarcabin channel for ideas on building a 14x14 cabin under $2000, installing solar and wind power etc..

  • awesome .prepare to unplug

  • very cool!

If anyone is interested there's a link for a FREE survivalist book in pdf in my channel. It shows how to make a cabin. I didn't write the book, it was given to me by the author.

Your vid reminds me of Black creek pioneer village a tourist attraction here in Toronto, Canada. You would enjoy it. Just do a vid search here on youtube and you will find many vids. Be well

  • @D33Lux

Just checkout out the free survival book, hopefully it wont be required as such, but i do plan on getting off the system...Thanks a mil

  • garden as if your life depends on it, for tomorrow it may, Save your seeds, and learn to live without cash, since taxes have went from 3% in 1900 up till today at near 51%. it will only get worse.

  • Are you the one that George is going to hang out with during this summer with an RV? Your going to have your hands full with George. LOL

  • I never knew this place existed. I'd like to go visit in the spring.

There is a place in Cottage Grove that makes "rocket stoves" and I'm going to pick up a few.

  • Interesting stuff, if I was to set up a survivalist shelter I would use as many of today's materials as I could, and use yesterdays technology only if I had to. Nice historical cabin though, Thanks Aaron.

  • Coarse sand,bentonite ,mortar!

  • Use 10% concrete and 90% mud. It will not leak, and will hold a very long time.

  • Nice presentation.

  • Thanks Aaron

  • "filbert orchard" - thats what I would have said too - but now its called hazelnuts, go figure.

  • Great vid Aaron. Was that land donated or purchased?

  • Well I think donated originally but some new sections may be purchased. I will meet up with Scott again soon might see if he wants to talk about it if hes comfortable.

  • @adb024 so like a sod house

  • cool video!

  • Great video :-) I will sub to Scott's channel, this is interesting stuff. Thanks for posting :-)

    *****

  • Yeah he has some very good stuff. Its cool he lives in my area. We probably will meet up again soon and make more videos.

  • Nice video Aaron! I love these kind of videos.

  • Cool thank you. Check out Scott channel subscribe if you like. He's got some great stuff.

  • very interesting!

  • I thought we all might need to build one of those soon.

  • could be...... that looks like a great set up, too!

  • Excellent post, Aaron. Thanks.

  • Thank you.
