Everything was great until I researched the price. A fully loaded ford taurus will run you about 50,000 after taxes. Are you kidding me! I got a better deal on my infiniti G37. I was going to buy my father the ford Taurus because he likes the power but for that price, never!!! Is this how our American companies are going to compete with the foriegn competitors. I'm so pissed off it's beyond words. I thought they wanted to sell cars. Exactly how many people will buy a $50,000 Taurus! IDIOTS!!!!!!

Oh, so you wanted the 365HP version for the price of a 4-cyl loaded Camry. Yeah, I don't think your lack of intelligence is Ford's problem.

G37 is a full class lower in size, has much less HP, is noisy in comparison, has a significantly inferior interior, etc... you get the point.

Taurus is already outselling its natural competitors: Infinity M45, Avalon, Chrysler 300C, etc. It's funny that you complain about the price of the higher trims, they're the ones being sold the most.

The paddleshifting is a nice feature. The acceleration of teh SHO is amazing. Every valet that's parked the car so far has told me how awesome the car is - they're not getting out and telling Mercedes owners the same thing. Had the car now for about 2 months (took delivery August 8) - the leg and back massage feature, rain sensing wipers, auto high beams, and solar shade are the best, but the solar shade and sony sound system were obviously never tested together, because there is a rattle!

I have a 00 Taurus DOHC 24V. Love the car. Would like to have a 2010 to go along with it...maybe someday...
