Nicely done! It's good to see fellow mental math-ers! I was in UIL Mental Math in Elementary and ever since I do lots of number manipulation in my head, hundreds of times a day. I'll be watching more of your clips to see what I can pick up!
Okay your maths tips are amazing, and I need a lot of help with mental arithmetic. However I struggle to understand you. I find myself attempting to understand what you say - therefore missing your VERY useful tip. Perhaps illustrative teaching - for those who pick up info differently?

If there are youtube heroes, I would nominate you - for your teaching and giving spirit. Helping kids understand they aren't dumb, they just don't think about the problem the right way. 'Here is another way to think'. I wish this was around when I was in school. I have invented a method myself but never thought to publish it.
wow all of a sudden i feel smart thanks for the tips, u made it so easy. i use to keep a pen by the door so i can add the total amount with the delivery person's tip, thats how slow my math is....lol. ty now i just figure it out in my head. nice ty

Thanks for your comments. First of all, I post all the numbers on the screen. So unless you are viewing from a cell phone all should be clear. My voice is very clear. So for your age trick, it is very good and may be quicker than mine. But, I am trying to show the complement of 100 for teaching principles in dealing with 9.

hey for the back tracking i have a better way to do it. if you meet someone under 100. this is wat u do really you should know they would be born in 1900's so lets say 76. 7is 3 away from 10 and 6 is 4 away from 10so they would be born in 1934 see simplier for me
Now you are just trying to prove me wrong. But it is you who have made a mistake. 27x99 is 2673 because 73 and 27 equal 100. Perhaps you should spend more time learning and less time trying to putting people down.
