They ruined the perter pan movies.... peter pan should have stayed young for ever and wendy shouldve have never grown old... this has ruined my life :'''( Im gonna cry...
This is one of my favorite scenes from this great and amazing movie. My ultimate favorite scene is when Peter gets knocked on the head with a baseball and he falls. Then he looks into a small body of water for the baseball and he sees himself as Peter Pan, his young self, not Peter Banning. That was right before he started remembering. It was like his own self, the Pan, was responsible for getting his memory back. What a powerful meaning and scene.
Why must this film and this xcene exist and break my heart? :( But I will always love this film, all the same. I keep a place in my heart for this kind of feeling, no matter how old I become.
Who tired of seeing the girls he loves grow and get older and always pretending to be a farther. He decided after taking Wendies grandaughter to NeverLand he'd stay with her and become a real farther. He never thought about what would happen to Tink while makeing that decion though
When I was little, I didn't think much of this scene. But now that I actually understand the context, emotion and what' she's saying... this scene is just breath taking!
I belive in fairies. I was 7 years old when i saw one come out between the curtains of my bedroom. I was lying in bed waiting for the toothfairy to show up. She was beutiful and looked like tinkerbell but i got scared and ran out of my bedroom and told my mom about it. She just said `here have a glass of juice`. I went back to my room and the fairy was gone.
I like to think Peter will get to return to Neverland (sort of an afterlife for kids) and Tink once he lives out his mortal life -- which is why Tink told him she'd be waiting for him there.
@chloelee12 It's called we don't want to grow up. /watch?v=WuJFOFPkLA4
The part your looking for starts at 10 seconds, but you're going to be disappointed because the piece moves into another type of sound after a very short while.
Peter abandoned a world where he had eternal life of youthfulness, he had immortality. He could fly and had a lovely person like Tink beside him. Tink in my opinion is the most important person to Peter. Tink saved Peter, and brought him up and they had adventures together. Why did Peter abandon Tink and totally vanish and forget about her. If someone special like Tink did that for me, I will owe her my life and dedicate all the time in my immortal life so we could be together.
Peter Pan's roots are "human" which means he's foolish by nature.
That's all humans are really...foolish. Ever since those groups of apes started carrying bones to hunt with and rubbing sticks to make fire we became foolish as well as powerful.
@spidercreature Unfortunately, Tinkerbell dies because faries don't have long lives. :-( In fact, in the book Peter Pan never grows up and Tinkerbell dies and he forgets she ever existed, which is part of the tragedy. But according to J.M. Barrie they don't know that they have short lives because they're so small that it seems like a long long time. :p
i really love this movie... and this scene has always been my favorite one... it's the first time now, that i see it in english and i must say i love it even more (but that's no wonder, most films are better in their original language, and so i hate nearly all german synchronisations) ...
"You know that place between sleep and awake. That place where you still remember dreaming. Thats where I will always love you. Peter Pan. Thats where I'll be waiting"
Best movie in the world and so heart breaking, I always wished he had stayed in neverland so tink could be happy. I alway cry here then happy again when the old man whos name escapes me flies back to neverland. Greatest movie EVER
@ehrynL85 me too, but the scene that really hurt me was where perter remmebers what happened to him when he was a baby and when tink found him and then when he finally went home they had forgotten him
