In earlier versions it was Foest Maze but in the current version you hear something different in the first world.

There are now 3 secret worlds. The last one leads to the Ash Katchum character and is located to the left of the spaceship part in the castlevania stage. There's a hole in the wall and you can jump through into a light patch of water below leading to a house going to the world. Thumbs up so people know where it is.

but what i did here was only possible on ez mode because you can do enough damage to solgryn in the second phase to kill him i had to shoot at him before he creates his shield

Why didn't you use powerups in the Gradius section? Speed-up, then laser, then double, then 3 options and missile in whatever order you prefer, that's the best setup.

if you killed them the boss rush is opened for you
