  • Rinoa is correct, though im not sure who the first king was. jones told them how to do it. he wasnt the first king

  • black and white film eh..lame

  • @Rinoa197 i'm pretty sure that the first pirate king was davy jones

  • I realy feel it in the spine when i hear this!

    great video!

  • in a book i was thinking about making, when a group of people are getting hanged they sing this song.

  • after listening to thid song 9 times i realized it explains all of Worlds End. The whole purpose of this movie is in the singing scene:

Theyre saying that davy jones (the king) told that powdered wig guy how to bound calipso (the queen) into human form (bound into her bones) that's why when that guy said "they've started singing sir" he said m"finally" because then they knew what to do

  • ALL HAIL LORD OF THE OBVIOUS!

  • Actually, no thats not it, sorry.

What happened was a while ago, i dont remember how many years they said it was, the Brethren of Pirates, led by Jack's father, the KING of Pirates, bound Calypso, the sea godess/QUEEN into human form, the shaman lady. When they started singing, it meant that the brethren were going to gather at that one place, and so Lord Beckett said "finally" because then he could start the huge war... Somethin like that. Although, for what its worth, what you said made sense

  • love the song.... nice video... savvy!

  • yo ho, alltogether hoist the colours heigh! heave ho, thiefs and beggers never shall we die!

  • This is epic

  • hh omg we get to play a medly of potc 3 music and the band sings this in the beginning of the piece =] i love potc music!

  • In order to affect a timely halt to deterioriating conditions, and to ensure the common good, a state of emergency is declared for these territories by decree of Lord Cutler Beckett, duly appointed representative of His Majesty, the King. By decree, according to martial law, the following statutes are temporarily amended: Right to assembly, suspended. Right to habeas corpus, suspended. Right to legal counsel, suspended. Right to verdict by a jury of peers, suspended.

  • everybody's mind can be poisoned, and make than do terable things.

    think of child army's.

not that you should approach that with an eye for an eye, but back than they didnt know better.

  • every all-powerfull nation that killed kids is gone a wrong way, kids cannot be bad.

  • The First Verse.

    The king and his men

stole the queen from her bed

and bound her in her Bones.

    The seas be ours

    and by the powers

    where we will we'll roam.

  • The Chorus

    Yo, ho, all together,

    hoist the colours high.

    Heave ho, thieves and beggars,

    never shall we die.

  • The second verse...

    Some men have died

    and some are alive

and others sail on the sea

-- with the keys to the cage...

    and the Devil to pay

    we lay to Fiddler's Green!

  • how do you know this and the last verse? are they in the film????? :)

  • lol I was bored so I searched the song lyrics on google. ufortunatly, they do not have the whole song in the movie.

  • aaahn....yes, it's a pity they didn't put the whole song in it....4ex, Elisabeth could have singed the second verse, instead of singing the first again...!!!

  • she did sing the second verse. and the third. the boy sang the first. basically, since her scene is after his, its a continuation.

  • They do have the whole song :)

Elizabeth ends it at Singapur with the others.

  • The last verse

    The bell has been raised

    from it's watery grave...

Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?

a call to all,pay head the squall

and turn your sail toward home!

  • sweeeeet!!

  • The king and his men

Stole the qeeun from her bed

And bond her in her Bones

    The seas be ours

    And by the powers

    where we will we'll roam

    Yo-Ho, haul together

    hoist the colours

    Heave-Ho, thieves and beggars

    never shall we die

  • its never SHALL we die...

    not never SAY we die...

  • im obsesed with this song now.

  • The king and his men

stole the queen from her bed

and bound her in her Bones.

    The seas be ours

    and by the powers

    where we will we'll roam.

    Yo, ho, haul together,

    hoist the Colors high.

    Heave ho, thieves and beggars,

    never say we die.

  • This like on a trailer :O

    very cool!!!

    briljant!!

i'm not so good in english because im an dutch woman XD (netherland) and im only 13 and not so good in languashes(?) XD

  • pretty good english if its not your first language

  • languashes... erg amusant :P het is languages. er bestaat zoiets als een woordenboek.

  • tss :P

laat me lkkr XD kzei al.. bn nie zo goed in :P

    XDXD

  • there's more to this song...Elizabeth sings it in the boat after the pirates hang in the beginning....

  • They weren't pirates hanging at the beginning. They only had 'associations' with pirates, if that

  • you're right dude

  • any and all that had ANYTHING to do with being a pirate or associated with piracy those ppl were executed (ie hung)

  • wow! u did a great job on this vid. xD i love it

  • 1)Does this song have a full version. Or is this the only one in existence. The one from POTC?

  • there is a full version, though none on youtube except for sum random ppl singing it themselves.

  • There is a longer version, check out Zexion06's video, his has the lyrics too...

  • Good job! I think the black and white is a great fit- it matches well with the sinister tone of this beautiful song.

  • ..never shall we die..

  • love the song! <3

  • u did a great job! i think it would've been better if it was in color tho =)

  • cat2hater jack's dad was in the film he was the guy who looked like captain hook. jack asks him "so..hows mum?" and he holds up a shrunken head and the jack says "she looks well....." lol

  • i thought that was his brother???

  • Very funny :)

  • Great job mate, it was excelent! I love the mood and vibe it gives off as well, but i hated it how the little boy in the movie had to get hung.

  • hey check out the rest of the song- Some have died and some are free others sail on the sea -- with the keys to the cage... and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler's Green. The bell has been raised from its watery grave... Do you hear its sepulchral tone? We are a call to all, pay heed the squall and turn your sail to home. Yo ho, haul together, Hoist the colours high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars, Never shall we die."
  • i think it is the boy who plays young will turner in the first film

  • it is!!!

    now you've say it!

  • it's not the kid who plays will. watch the first one then watch this.

  • in wat part of the movie does it show Elizabeth and Will's son?

  • The very end after the credits.

  • it was really cool the boy who starts to sing looks like will's son

  • It is.

    The actor plays both characters.

  • acutally it is to different young boys.

Dominc scott kay plays will and elizabeth's son names Will Turner the third

Brendyn bell plays the Cabin Boy

  • They meant that the sea was once Calypso's but now it belongs to men. They said something like that in the movie.

  • I love how this is with Davy Jones and Tia Dalma. "The King and his men stole the queen from her bed" means that the first pirate king and lords took Calypso. "Tey bond her in her bones" means they turned Calypso into tia Dalma basically. I dont know wat "the seas be ours, and fight the powers" but i do know that "Never say we die" means, Pirates will always remain free!! and that is so so so true

  • Where did you get the clips for the video?

  • 'the king and his men' are the pirateking and the piratelords.. 'and bound her in her bones' that's almoste litterly said in the movie by barbossa i guess, that piratelords of the first brethren court bound Calypso in her bones, her human being.. so the song is about the first brethren court ;)

  • This scene gave me goosebumps. Of all the scenes in the film this one haunted me. Also, I'm dragging my parents to see it again because I left before the credits were finished.

  • Oh yeah.

    I love the end.

I missed it the first time, too. =)

But I've seen it three times in theatres.

  • the scene that goes with this song gave me goosebumbs, remind me to never leave before the end of the credits

  • Did anyone stay after the credits? There was a scene but I didn't see it.

  • yes i did they show the new davy and kieraa after 10 years and they have a kid

  • Kool.

  • I think since the brethren court bound claypso in her bones that is the song to let them know they need to come together.

  • It would be better if it didn't look like it was lagging so bad, the slow motion isnt that great.

  • I love how the rebel feel to this song..but unlike this kid in movie i would of said "MAN GET THIS ROPE THE F*** OFF ME!!! WHAT DID I DO!?!"

  • He was a cabin boy on a pirate ship. Age is no excuse, he was a pirate too. =)

  • Yes, the song is about Calypso, but it's about how they (the pirates/pirate Lords) captured her and took control of the sea so they could roam free again.

  • This song is a song to summon a meeting of the Brethren Court. It says that in "It Pirates' guidelines" by Joshamee Gibbs

  • MY PEANUT!!!!!! lol

  • Nice!! how did you get the clip?

    any way nice vid

  • The king and his men stole the queen from her bed . .

and bound her in her Bones . . .

The seas be ours and by the powers . . .

    where we will we'll roam

    Yo, ho, haul together,

    hoist the colors high . . .

    Heave ho, thieves and beggars,

    never shall we die.

  • some men have died and some are alive

and others sail on the sea

with the keys to the cage and the devil to pay

    we lay to fiddler's green

the bell has been raised from it's watery grave

do you hear it's sepulchral tone?

a call to all, pay heed the squall

and turn your sail toward home

  • this clip rock

  • (this mrsixguns' daughter) I am SOOOO jealous of Koerra, shegot to make out with BOTH Jhonny Depp and Orlando Bloom, and she had to redo the scenes like 5,000 times! *sigh* Jhonny's hotter!

lol, he is! i just love to look at em! lol

  • Odd. Last I heard, Johnny was married with children, and a rather honorable fellow. Don't think he's much of a cheater. Get your information solid.

  • Bah, my mistake. Not married, but in a serious relationship with Vanessa Paradis, and has 2 children.

  • mr6guns' daughter is talking about scenes in the movie that Koerra had to do with Johnny and Orlando. Even if he's married he's still gonna have to kiss other people in acting

  • he considers himself married though

  • this could be a trailer! this is very good! kudos for 20 minutes of work!

  • some men have died and some are alive and other sail on sea with a key to the cage... and the devil to pay we lay to fiddler's green!

the bells had been raised from its watery grave....

do you hear its sepulchral tone

we are a call to all

    pay head the squll

and turn your sail toward home!

Yo,ho, Hual together, hoist the colours high.Heave ho,thieve and beggers, never say we die

  • u noticed every movie begins with a creepy/sad song?

  • every movie begins with a shantie

  • my friend was BALLING when Will died.

  • I got to see the movie on the day it came out!!!! It wuz awesome. This song is kinda catchy. My friend and i were singing this all day yesterday!!!

    Yo-ho

    All together

    Hoist the colors high

    Heave ho

    Thieves and beggars

    Never shall we die!

  • I don't think that the kid was too disturbing. The child was beautifully smart in orchestrating the defiance of those hung. He obviously committed the crime he was hung for or we would not have started to sing.

  • great vid!(would have been better if you had Jack's dad in it though...)

  • Haha, I laughed too. But in my defense it was because I was shocked so I asked "Did he die...?" and my friend said really loud and a cheerful voice. "Oh yes, he's dead! ^.^"

  • To my shame I nearly laughed twice during that scene. Once when the noose was far too high for the little boy, and then when the hangman brought out a barrel.

  • yeah that was funny(i actually laughed, though...>.<)

  • I like your vid but the original with the boy is much more emotional

  • i agree! it was sad that they killed such a young kid. i almost cried (cuz i'm a girl) but i held it in! it was still very disturbing.

  • YYYYAAAAAAYYYYY

  • I love this video and the movie.

I love Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. Me love me pirates

  • does any one know the name of the song at the very end of the movie, when will turner and elizebeth swan say goodbye to eachother? i love the passion in it! if anyone knows please tell me!

  • It is called "One Day" on the Potc 3 soundtrack

  • Thanx a million! I really wanted this song in this version;D

  • nice, we both made Hoist the Colours videos! XD

  • how the hell do u no?!

  • I LOVE this song! That boy has such an amazing voice!

  • awesome video! i love that song

  • What's with the IGN at the bottom?

  • It says IGN because that's probably where that bit of the fan vid came from [Trailer], if IGN made all of it... wouldn't it have IGN at the bottom right all the way through?

  • you know i almost would believe you did it , but i am just curious , why does it say IGN in the bottom corner...?

  • She got the clips from IGN.

  • who was that kid that sang the song?

  • the kid is brendyn bell..

    if im not wrong..

  • i really love this song *.*
