"The Intruder" was an attempt to make a "legitimate" film with serious social commentary.
It's about the machinations of a racist named Adam Cramer portrayed by Shatner, who arrives in the fictitious small southern town of Caxton in order to incite townspeople to racial violence against the town's Black minority and court-ordered school integration.

The movie was released on DVD as the 40th anniversary edition for 10 dollars in 01. but last time I looked it was going for 40 for used copies.. On this DVD at the end of it Corman and Shatner sit around a studio back slapping about what they did with this movie and showed their hostile contempt for White America plainly in early 2001. Enemy aliens made this movie.
