  • I believe this man is the only reason ballet ever became popular

  • You left out my favorite, the Arabian Dance.

  • The name is long forgotten. This song is only known as "that music they play in every chrismtas comedy"

  • The comments on classical pieces like this one are so intelligent.

  • Thanks for the third time! :D (I have been personally liking and favoriting all of these ';)

  • Oh, Dios mío, este tío era un genio...!

Oh my God, this guy was a genius...!

  • Oh my god i love this songs

This is Music in his perfection

  • HLY SHIT NO DISLIKES EVERY1 GOOD JOB KEEP PRESSING UP THUMBS UP

  • this is written in an insane key. loved playing it

  • I love how this begins. The constant knocking and the reed flute interjecting so beautifully while gradually the rest of the orchestra joins in. I get goosebumps every time i hear it.

  • I have loved the music & story of the nutcracker for many years. Since I was 7 years old & I am now 26, almost 20 years! I never get tired of listening to this beautiful music!

  • the greatest piece of music in human history

  • When I hear this music, I feel so... excited ! Ειναι καταπληκτικη !

  • Reed Flutes Dance i think is one of my favs out of all of them

  • omg I cried when i heard the third part i remember that part the most!

  • out of the selction of three, they're ALL my favorite(: im playing "March of the Nutcracker" and "Trepak" (Russian Dance) for my high school orchestra and they're both coming together sweetly(:

  • thank you so much... ROCK ON TCHAIKOVSKY!!!!

  • I also like rock and classical rock music but I like quality in the music! thats what it is really.

  • Professor Oak's theme :)

  • Tchaikovsky's music has been in various movies and commercials. It's great when you find the composer of those catchy tunes.

  • I'm feeling sorry I used to like Barbie now. This is great music and I keep seeing the awfull images of a computer-animated dancing Barbie before my eyes.

  • Anyone else remember Chinese Dance being used in Rocko's Modern Life? Gold.

  • John Lanchbery was the conductor of the Royal Ballet for years. He conducted this piece this fast, and the dancers responded very well. That was with the Royal Ballet orchestra. The Philharmonia is much better, and was the best I heard of any of the London orchestras.

  • am i tripping out, or do i also remember this music from the original fantasia?

  • @dmanschaumbizzie, you are not tripping. There was a dance number in which, if I remember correctly, crocodiles danced with lady hippos. Also, the Chinese dance (tea dance) was staged with some tiny dancing mushrooms. Tchaikovsly and Disney - two geniuses, in their respective fields.

  • Russian Classic Music rules !!!!

  • Tchaikovsky and Strauss are my absolute favourites.

  • love the reed flutes part

  • L.O.V.E. the Russian!!! in my top favs.. definitly!!!!

  • trying out for the nutcracker symphony tomorrow!

  • did you make the symphony???

  • The third song is one of my best symphonies ever, I didnt know it was by Tchaikovsky, he truly is one of the greatest ever.

    Brilliant work

  • AAAHHAHAHHH piccolos DD:

  • i replay this SO MUCH. exellent job =]]

  • im trying out for the dance part of nutcracker today! :)

  • I just love the start of this music.

    Amazing is it ?

this is real music, 50 cent is the capitalist greedy rubbish

  • @showmoon Why mention that clown on a page with REAL music?

  • @showmoon I agree. Although I do listen to all different genres, I would rather listen to Tchaikovsky over most current stuff any day.

  • @showmoon You shoulf know that Tchaikovsky was the capitalist greedy one of his generation... The main motivator for writing this kind of music back in the day being the same motivator that pushes people like 50 cent to write his music..

Note that.. I am not defending 50 cent, just pointing out that your statement is misguided in its charge.

  • @Eireanngobrach21 - I was about to reply in the same vein. It has to be said though that Tchaikovsky wrote some work with no guarantee of either a fee or performance. Still, it's a pity that a similar motivator led to different outcomes: Tchaikovsky's masterworks and the horseshit of 50 cent.

  • @Eireanngobrach21 I could care less about motivations. I would rather somebody create something timeless and beautiful after having been motivated by greed and avarice than somebody creating vulgar trash after being motivated by selflessness.

  • @showmoon Who honestly listens to 50 cent?

  • @showmoon I know what you mean, I wouldn't pay 50 cents to see his show.

  • Tchaikovsky is cool

  • The beginig is going too fast than its usual.

  • i played this in band class today ^^

  • its not reed flutes , its merlitons. i dance the nutcracker every year

  • They are semantically equivalent: "mirlitons" is the French translation for "reed flutes."

  • well im not smart apparently so sorry for being a know it all :]

  • @mahlerite Boom! Roasted!

  • so he must be like totally rich.

  • this is sooooooooooooooooooooo hard to learn. im trying soooo hard! hopefully it will happen

  • such symmetery and perfection of music! pure perfection!

  • This is my 3rd favorite! :D

  • I love that fact that this was Tchaikovsky's least favorite thing he composed.

  • YES I found it!

    Thanks

  • what about the Spanish dance?

  • its a little fast but its a great song to listen too! I performed in the nutcracker!

  • Although, it is sometimes referred to as the Russian Dance its official name is Trépak.

  • this man is a genius, will someone go and try to ask someone in your school or a teacher and see if they know this person,i did and mostly didnt reconize this person.

  • Another great composer which few people have know about is Giovanni Gabrielli.

  • Bravo, thanks for posting ~ London Symphony is the only version you should listen to though !

  • And who is the conductor for that recording?

  • I love the Russian Dance

  • I like the warm Christmas Tree Decoration Scene the most.
