@CrastinusMusic it would be cool if we can, because then you don't need a normal keyboard to type faster as with a single hand, and more important, because you use two FrogPads, you can place them and thus your arms in a comfortable position and a not so cramped position standard keyboards require. (you don't have to bend your wrist any longer
@flasher555 they're out of stock since several months. Take a look at their FaceBook account. They need some friendly investor or earn some money to produce a new batch. At the moment, your only hope is eBay or other second hand shops.
i can never seem to type with both hands using a QWERTY, standard keyboard, even right now, i am using just my left hand to type. lazy to learn how to type with both hands? i think not. i think i have a form of left hand dominance, i write with my left hand and even drive with only my left hand. this looks pretty cool and seems a lot comfortable. Not really looking for fast typing speed, so this looks promising
one month to type fast on one hand, a second month for the second hand and a third month to get used to switching between them. But because you can touch type with the FrogPads after a week already, you don't really have to train, rather just use them.
The FrogPad supports every key a QWERTY keyboard has. To press a function key you have to activate number mode and then press the number while holding space. On the FrogPad website is a Reference Guide which shows how you can access the keys you want (visit their online store and click on the thumbnail of the black FrogPad)
4 posts below yours is the answer to your question. I can type with both hands, but only the same. It's a layout designed for a single hand. To type with both hands as you do on a QWERTY keyboard is useless. With training everything is possible, but it just wouldn't make sense.
But not as fast as you can with a DVORAK with both hands. The FrogPad layout has two layers, the first for the most used characters, the second for the less used. To access the second layer you still have to press two keys. You also have to define, for yourself, which keys you'll want to type with the left and which with the right hand. So one hand types the well positioned and most of the characters, the second almost nothing and the worse positioned. It just wouldn't work that good.
But not to increase speed, rather just for fun, the resulting text looks like: "TTyyppiinngg wwiitthh bbootthh FFrrooggPPaaddss aatt tthhee ssaammee ttiimmee tthhee ssaammee tteexxtt.."
But I can't type with both hands on two FrogPads to double typing speed, sadly :)
I once had an ambidextrous teacher who could write different things on two black boards at the same time. So typing different sentences at the same time with the FrogPad, could be a fun challenge.I assume you'd need two PCs to do it though.
thats stupid...

I'm interested in using a frogpad, both in left hand and right hand. (Not simulataneously).
Is a right-hand model switchable to left-hand model with a light procedure?
I don't want to buy the two.

why use two frogpads with two hands when you can use two hands on one regular keyboard?

Is it possible to change the keys to qwerty, and then use the left hand for the left side of a qwery keyboard and the right hand for the right part??
can you input from both units at the same time? like a standard keyboard that is split in two?

How did you order frogpad for yourself. I've tried to order it directly from their website but one month later still have no idea where it is?

Does the FrogPad have Function Keys? (F1, F2, F3, Etc.) I need those for a bit of the work I do but would love to get into the FrogPad!

Is it possible to write with both hands, or can't we do that with our brain?

Of course it would make sense, because you can write much faster than with one hand.

They will produce new FrogPads, soon, if they get enough pre-orders to fund the production, check their homepage to see more.
