As far as I know theyre no longer in use because they sometimes twiddled and didnt followed their orders so it was thought to be arguable.

This robot was actually designed to safely detonate bombs or bring supplies into dangerous areas. It's not really a radio-controlled weapons platform like the air drones.

It ranges from autonomous tanks, humvees, fighter jets, stealth bombers and insect suicide drones. Their talking about replacing a third of the human military in the middle of this decade.

For what purpose Technology is used for doesn't depend on Countrys, it depends on the people who are using/developing it for. American Killer robots can be used for saving ppl and the jap robots can be used to kill ppl, it always depends on the ppl behind the robots.

Actually, robots are by necessity designed to do only a few things - ever.

So, sorry, japan simply don't built many robots that are designed for warfare. Perhaps a few, but certainly not on the scale that america does. And certainly not with the same attitude that it's macho to slaughter people. That era is long, long gone (Time for the usa to grow up hey?!)

Oh I believe it can fire a weapon, no problem - and as long as it's in a firing range, with no movement, then I'm sure that, with time, it will actually hit what it is hoping to hit.

On the other hand, an orangutan can also fire a weapon, but with substantially more accuracy.
