I loved this show when it was on the air, it was actually done pretty well.

Megaman came out a lot better in this than he did in the Captain N cartoons.

They stayed a LOT closer to the source material than Captain N did, and in fact Megaman to me looks better in this than how capcom made him look in the games.

He ACTUALLY looks and sounds like a young MAN, and not a little boy or girl.

Mega man x is mega man from the future found in a capsule by another scientist so what happened to his dog rush and roll and what about dr.willy he created zero to destroy mega man as well as proto man. I had learned that Mega Man was first aired in Japan as Rockman. the robot masters in Mega Man look almost better than the robot masters in Rockman.

Let's see, back in the 80's and 90's we had many different cartoons made in america, based on video games. Captain N, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Legend of Zelda, Sonic SatAM, and MegaMan.

I agree with almost everything Parker said. He, like too many others of my fellow 80's cartoon fanatics seem to forget the animation we had was not as great as some of like to remember it being. Like when a bad guy can fire a laser many times at a good guy who'd slowly jump behind something and than only 3 lasers would be seen hitting what they hid behind and for lasers that were suppose to be so powerful they'd never damage the ground or walls that they hit. Don't forget about miscolored limbs.

i know that Mega Man is really Rockman, but in my opinion he and the other characters look more serious and tough in the american animation, than in the original japanese version. here in the american version, the robots actually look dangerous, and Mega Man looks like a teen or a young adult. in the japanese version hes a little kid, and the characters look like a bunch of midgets... if japanese version looked more like this, it would be so much better. atleast Rockman X was taken more serious.

These cartoon had Anime Artist to produce them, then the american artist adds the finishing touches, and the distibuting thru the company the hires them. Nelson Shin was executive producer of the Transfomers cartoon in japan, but Marvel and Sunbow distributed it to Viacom in America.

@Quy4life no. it was animated by rubie-spears. an american cartoon company. There was an anime OVA released in Japan 2 years prior, and an anime pilot was made but instead they opted for an american company. The anime was released in America in 2005 on DVD. The american anime did stick very closly to the anime style and the games.
