The hip bone isn't bad at all. I had my first ink done right over the bone (I have bony hips)--a pair of bass clefs--and the worst was when they went over a tiny little bit of my stomach. The fleshy parts hurt more, imo. Feeling the needle vibrate over the bone was kinda cool.

I have a triquetra over my hip bone and it didn't hurt one bit. It started out a tingle, then it was really ticklish.

God the hip bone sucks. I got a heart with wings on mine..The wings hurt bad cuz it was over the hip bone...I cried lol
