No. In this video they are showing roads that go through tundra. It's not possible to pave loads there because in winter it's like -55 degrees and roads get destroyed, no matter what technology is used. So basically these roads are good while it's dry but if it rains, this happens.

Well, Johnny, you have to remember that Russia is a very, VERY large country. It's simply not viable to pave all roads.

And every now and then, some of them will go bad.

Most of their roads are fine though.

Actually, I do understand what you are trying to say. Basically Russia has a lot more roads, not enough money, and sometimes the supplies for roadworks also get stolen.

And I agree, that does make it real hard to keep the roads in good condition.

Also, some roads are simply not travelled enough to justify spending a lot of money on them. So they try and use the money where they get the best effect out of them. Which, I think, is the right thing to do.

In USA start up the bulldozer on a straight line through desert that it has cleared away stones and cactuses and it is possible to put asphalt. You saw on those a photo summer and it proceeds only one month in those edges. To make there road basically it is very difficult
