  • Pretty compelling stuff!! The video edit is a perfect match to the music, Wow!

    My compliments, emerpus01

  • Love Galaxy Express 999, Captain Harlock, & everything I ever heard by Sun Ra was great. Your other two Amv's were awesome as well...

  • This was the first song play by Sun Ra I ever heard, back in 1977 when I found the album "Nubians of Plutonia" in the $1.99 cutout bin. I now have close to 100 Sun Ra albums and enjoy playing in a band her on Chicago's south side with a couple of musicians who played with Sun Ra over 50 years ago. BTW, the baritone sax player is Pat Patrick, the father of the current governor of Massachussetts. Sun Ra plays an early Wurlitzer electric piano, given to him before Ray Charles' "What I Say".

  • can't get much better sound out of a baritone sax than that

  • Would someone please tell the name of the music?? What a awesome song.

  • @Anormalz The composition is called "Plutonian Nights".

  • @Anormalz how did you find this video? Just out of curiosity...

  • @partyprobe A friend of my just sent the link to me

  • @Anormalz Plutonian Nights by Sun Ra.

  • repeating gets kinda annoying after a minute or so ImHo. But the Idea is great.

  • Didn't you used to have a video of tiny pyramids? i love that song, why'd you take it down?

  • this movie is da best!

  • SUN RA!!! He's so awesome. I don't know anything about this vid, though how old is it?

  • It was made in the 70's. The storyline I think is great. One of my major inspirations. I also think the same artist that did daft punk's videos did these character designs as well.

  • I finished this video in May of 2006. The source footage is from 1979, and the music is from the early 50s.

  • I saw this movie when I was 12, this film really inspired me as an artist, along with Akira. Great video!!

  • Awesome! Sun Ra was amazing, and GE999 is a classic!

  • Great vid! i loved this movie! did you?

  • It's one of my very favorites.

  • Well done emerpus01. This vid is my fav amv.

  • Im not much of an anime person, but this is one of my Favorite Sun Ra songs so it automaticaly becomes pretty cool.

  • I think this combo really works. If it were any other jazz musician, I'm not sure

  • Yeah well seeing as Sun Ra is from Neptune it reallt makes sense.

  • Actually, from Saturn, I think.

  • My mistake.
