i wonder what it was like when they played this in vegas, their pre-hiatus dvd release show. think about all the people hangin' in vegas, who didn't know much about phish, and decided to check out a show. considering that they opened with walfredo, i bet there was a bunch of people dumbfounded at why so many people were into a band that could hardly play their instruments....but then they came back right after and blew it away with one of the best curtain withs ever!

I was at the show that night, and had been seeing Phish for 5 years. I have never been to a show, before or since, that had that much energy and excitement before it. Tickets were impossible to get after the fact. For better or worse, very few fans were just "checking" Phish out that night...

The happy birthday singing for Mr. Anastasio was pretty amazing. Stuff like this makes me miss Phish, a lot.

I just got the DVD not too long ago, and the Maze that night was pretty amazing as well. Esther was funny when Trey couldn't remember the lyrics, and he was like "She died". He was standing at the mic for awhile trying to spit something out. Those guys are amazing

I was in the balcony at this show in Paris! This was the best tour ever!! Man, thanks for posting these shows. The Bataclan rocked that night. Remember the show in Koln, in that small venue beside the huge Cathedral (WOW!!) Best years of my life touring with Phish.

you lucky bastard. how did u afford all that? how many shows did u see on that tour?It's everything else after the tix that I cant afford.There is a lot of planning that goes into touring w Phish, especially in Europe I bet. The 2nd set of the 2/16/97 Cologne show is sick on cd, i bet it was really nice live! I really like that Simple>Circus, my mom even likes that Simple>Circus. And yeah my best years were when I first started seeing Phish a lot too.
