Here's a fun fact about Tony Hitchman, the interviewer. He was sent to jail along with Reed Slatkin, Earthlink co-founder and an ordained Scientology minister, for conducting a Ponzi Scheme, defrauding clients of millions.

if scientology is so "good" why do they have its prospective members take basically a lie detector test, and ask if they are a part of the media or any goverment agency, and then try to find out your moral weak spots are, christianity does not have its members pay their way not true christianity anyway unfortunatly more and more christian have picked up this evangelical/telemarketing form of marketing the religion sad really

yeah but it is basically a lie detector, works about the same far as i can tell, wouldnt make me feel comfortable with all the questions like an interrorgation or somthing, i think they do it to see what parts of your psyche they can pick at to get in your head, psychologist do this to, thats why that one guy they would i think the term he was basically get in her head instead of the group and therefore take away control, psycology is a bitch huh

Auditing is a process that is off key importance in Scientology. It helps you confront the things in your life that are weighing you down. The auditor, literally meaning one who listens, brings you back to various situations in your life that had upset you and makes it so that you are better able to face your own reality.

but when i walk past a church of scientology and stare too much i get crazy people coming out and taking pictures of me. and following me. Scientology needs to pack up and blast off into space and join those Thetons and whatever the hell is out there

I don't support the guy but criticising him for being a Science Fiction Author (and therefore not worthy to start a religion) is like criticising the Christian religion for being written by Fishermen and sheep-herders. I think the guy wasn't doing as much good as he was supposed, but no worse than Islam or Christianity in my opinion.

How can anyone make negative comments about any subject if they haven't really studied it. It seems as though that most of the above comments are just re-hashed from 30-40 years ago. Read a book ,an easy one from Mr Hubbard "New Slant on Life" is good for beginners. Read that one or "Fundamentals of Thought" see if it is Sci-Fi or has data that can improve anyones life to some degree.

Hubbard is a great writer, fiction and non...he served our country in the Navy as a LT., he is someone who dared to confront and think differently. CW2Austin, Scientology shows this to people. Here's a fun fact about Tony Hitchman, the interviewer. He was sent to jail along with Reed Slatkin, Earthlink co-founder and an ordained Scientology minister, for conducting a Ponzi Scheme, defrauding clients of millions.
Hitchman and Slatkin took money from people, invest it and made the money available to Scientologists who needed money for Church services.
This is what L. Ron Hubbard states when he says that Scientology makes the able more able.

I am intrigued by LRH - obviously he is a fraud but the methods that he used (black magic) fascinate me. One part hypnosis, confidence, drug usage - all of this led to mass production of rubbish (and he knew this) but he made money which was his goal.
