Mariah still writes all her songs, and look at them, they are all about sex and that gangster rap crap, and why on earth did she marry that young dude? he was engaged to a supermodel a year ago, does he know what he wants? I dont think so!!! She should have more sense than to marry him

Sooooo! Mariah Carey can write songs about whatever she wants to whether it's about relationships or rap! And if Nick wanted to go out with Mimi and be her husband, so be it! It's not your decision and your choice. If they luv each other, then leave it alone. So who cares if he was engaged to Christina Milian last year? Nobody cares anymore! Mariah Carey can do whatever she wants in her music life and love life. Stop hatin!

comparing her and Beyonce is like comparing apples and oranges. They are completely different styles of singing. Mariah couldn't carry off Beyonce's stronge vocal range...and Beyounce couldn't hit the high notes. Both have great voices. Mariah seems lost now...letting commercialism drive her song choices...none of her recent songs will be classics.

If god saw lust in her, then he would have never given her a better life. Now a days i wonder if she stills has the same love for god. Its easy to be decieved unless you know better. AMEN!

yeah i guess there some inspiration to it, but the idea behind the song is that she prayed for fame and foutune through the worlds ways and this song says god gave this to her not the devil. this is deception. but on the other hand the secondary side of if speaks of faith in god for a spiritual breakthrough, but in reality this is not what the song is about primarily. make what happen. fame money attetion of the world, lust.

u need 2 wake up and stop being so negative, this song is about praying to god and having faith that god will giv u the strength to MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes she is saying that her life is a gift from god, not in the sense he gave it 2 her but that its a blessing bestowed upon her as her destiny, clearly mariah carey was made to be the biggest and most successful female recording artist ever.

thats what im saying . the message is that a holy god will help you be famaous in the eyes of the world, in which god calls us to deny all ungodly lust, espcicallialy the "pride of Life". i like the rytheym of it and all but it oblivioiusly has a hint of lust and the very stench of hollywood glamor to it. and what of it that she is the biggest and the best.she still lost and she produced a song that lies to people with the message that god will give you your carnal desires "if you keep Prayin".

um no u dont get it, this has nothing 2 do with lust or fame!!!!! yor only hearing wat u think u hear. its about making dreams come true and having the inner strengh to beleieve in yorself that u hav the power to make yor own dremas come true. not once in the song did she say anything about fame or wealth, her dream was to be a successful songwriter and 2 hav her songs on the radio, thats wat happened.

Everyone says that Mariah has changed but don't we all change over the course of life. I love her just the same as I did in the 90's. I just stumbled over this song a few days ago and I have been playing it ever since..lol.. Very nice song and the message is up lifting... Big up Mariah from Jamaica

hi everyone. i was watching a video yesterday. i can't remember the song that was on the youtube vid. anyway she starts off by singing a few lines of a song because the audience are shouting for it i think. but then says "but thats another song" anyone know which tour or whatever i may have been looking at?
