@TheSHINeeJessie Sungmin's and Shindong's birthdays are near each other. Sungmin's in January '86 and Shindong in Sept '85. While Kangin's birthday is January '85. So naturally, you'll feel closer to a person whose birthday is close to yours, so Shindong sees Kangin more of a hyung than a friend.
