They don't slaughter random people's pets. They are not that dumb. First of all, even though I'm not really knowlegable on the topic of edible pets, I don't think they just kill all dogs and eat them. By killing random people's pets, they are not going to get a profit. Anyways, if the pets are legally owned, they can't really just kill them. P.S. most dog food has animal meat in them.
