bullshit this was a vendetta, The law was unable to convict Morgans killers so Wyatt took the law into his own hands, he used his badge as a cover, fucking lawman my ass he was a hypocrite and an murderer, if a cop was to do this today he would be arrested for murder, and everything he had worked for would be undone, that is what happened to wyatt all those years of the law down the drain. he led his execution squad around the territory killing whoever he believed was responsible, a murderer
historical context is quiet important to anything you have to say, just remember that, dont compare the social and economic context of the 1870s to the 2000s. your argument loses it substance.
but
i agree the badge was not singluarly representing the law, his passion to enforce the law was driven by his rage to get his brother's killer(s)
@131986zm An great law enforcer, well you got the enforcer part right, and yes I admit he had morals and he acted greatly in his capacity as lawmen, I do not dispute that, but i beleive he got to cocky, all the praise and reputation he built got to his head, I do not defend the cowboys they were pure scum, but Wyatt didn't try to bring them in, when he went on that Vendetta ride it wasn't for the law or justice just revenge, maybe it was just more appropriate to kill whoever you wanted
@MAnnaconduit1 i wish we could have him now days to kill the cartels that are running around cause he was never afraid of anything that walked in his path he would just shoot them down man i wish he was alive today just sayin
@MAnnaconduit1 well this movie is historically inaccurate in many parts, because wyatt also had two other brothers who were lawmen, and another brother that was killed prior to these events in the movie, so all and all you could sit here and pick apart many things in the movie, may not of happen like this in real time.
@MAnnaconduit1 You're damn right it was a vendetta....... I think that's quite obvious, but the game was different back then. Even though what happened to his brothers was very likely a strong motive, I do believe he had moral motives for what he did; that town was at the mercy of the cowboys. The reason that the cowboys couldn't be convicted was because the cowboys was the law, so Wyatt and his crew took matters into their own hands..........
I love the priests quote from Revelations at the start, "a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him"..Love how it links with this. Unbelievable
this is the way drug dealers should be delt with.....you get caught selling drugs or involved in some illegal activity.....shoot right on the spot no questions asked....see if we don't get rid of the trash in society....
i always found it funny how bill has the shotgun at his shoulder, but SOMEHOW wyatt has enuff time to yell "noooooooo" raise the gun and fire. its a better noooooo than vader. i guess bill was paralyzed by its awesomeness
Anyone notice how Wyatts the only one with .44 magnums? And I think this movie would have been awesome if Wyatt rode a white horse, It would have tied in perfectly with part one when Ringo says "Behold the pale horse, and the man who rides it is death, and hell follows him". Wyatt did say he was bringing hell with him. Thumbs up anyone?
The real Best of the Best Scene. Really lets you know all hells about to come down on them. " YOU TELL THEM I'M COMING AND HELLS COMING WITH ME YOU HEAR ! HELLS COMING WITH ME ! ! ! !
This is such a well-crafted flick! Not only top notch performances from top notch actors, but it is filled with little nuances here and there that really do add the perfect finishing touches--check 5:20 and the slick transition from opium pipe to gunbarrel to name only one.
@Burnsengine Yeah me to but it was a simpler time back then at this day and age you could do what Wyatt Earp did but it wouldn't get you very far unfortunately.
@somegrass1987 To think...Ike was a asshole for trying to kill Jake Sully and the Navi, but he's too chicken shit to man up against KURT FUCKING RUSSELL.
why is the guy talking to Doc around 8:37 or so (after the river shoot out) carrying what appears to be a M@sonic symbol on the wire around his neck??...
@Limonoriginal OMFG i hate over emotional pll like you,its a nice line.but you make it sound so out of this world.so sit back shut the fuck up and watch the movie...
No it is not Wyatt, it is Doc the priest is referring to, Doc Holliday is the pale white horse of death, because Doc Holliday was the only one who could kill Ringo, and the analogy was referring to Doc Holliday being pale because of his sickness
@lanmark1231 i dont think cuz wyatt even said tell them i'm coming and hell is coming with me the exact quote that the preist said but then again it could of been both doc and wyatt since wyatt said hell is coming with me and doc was rolling with wyatt and killed ringo and ringo had killed the priest but who knows thats just my theory
I'd like to think when Ringo said " smells like someone died" Wyatt's face looks like he instantly changed his mind on the situation being over. It was on again from that point....
As much as I like Kevin Costner's take as Wyatt Earp, Kurt Russell depiction was more angry as he has the stonger voice and intense look. Costner to my mind always had a soft look with a flat voice but still both great actors
