I went on the Anaheim version this past week and LOVED IT!. I think it's kinda neat how this was the first Holiday Overlay that Anaheim didn't originate

In all the hong kong ghost galaxy videos i never see the ghost that pops out at the end of the re entry tunnel

i went on this on saturday 5 times it's better than the Standard Space Mountain with all the ghosts that jump out at you Instead of Just boring Stars no special effects.

This ride is epic. I strongly suggest going on it before they take it away. The special effects are awesome, and the music is creepy! Enjoy!

i went on it. it was amazing. there is a orange looking creature that follows you the whole time. it was great. and it had great effects

Has stars just like normal space mountain, maybe less, it seems darker, but the stars are there.

Lets hope that the Disneyland version lives up to its potential. The Hong Kong version seems to be better than Rocking Space (even if I can see the effects on the video).

HKDL Ghost Galaxy > DL Rocking Space

Yes the rumors are true, Team Disney Anaheim approved the money this week for a '09 Halloween overlay for Space Mountain. Based on the Ghost Galaxy version of the ride in Hong Kong, this version will now debut at Disneyland on September 25th, after a two week closure. More info to come in the next update. - Al Lutz

Do you know if there is going to be a lot of light like rockin space mountain because they said that they are going to use the same lighting so i don't really see how they can make it spooky with all the light . Do you also know if they are getting the same soundtrack used in hong kong for ghost galaxy?

My dad works for Walt Disney Travel, and since he works at their Anaheim office, he gets information directly from both WDI and Team Disney Anaheim. I turns out that it's not just Space Mountain that's getting a Halloween makeover. But the entire park is getting it. I could tell more but my dad will get fired if any more information is leaked.

It's because Disneyland's allready has an overlay. Rockin' Space Mountain.

WOW! Even though the you cant see much of the effects, the audio is crystal clear up to the end the third lift.
