that is a pinch harmonic or "pig squeal". Google it or something, It could take a while to explain how it works.

when u pluck down on the string let ur thumb "dig into" the string and then relase the pluck really hard and fast......and add bends to it too

crank the lows and highs and put the mids at about half way. My amp has gain 1 and 2 and a shape option, so it was designed for distortion.

get a guitar with active pickups, look at an emg 85\81 combo, you should like that. or swa out the pickups and chrome pickup covers. add a little reverb.

You are pretty good, some of the stuff needs improvement though, but we ALL could use improvement. Your tone needs help though.
