Just found this after looking at your alum weld vid, that black and tan looks just like my chiweenie LENNY. and the vid you made playing with your tan one reminds me of when LENNY was a lot younger. He's about 11 years old now and won't get up to playing speed any more, its cool he's still my lil buddy. Thanks for walk down memory lane.

I have a 6week old long haired Chiweenie and he is soooo adorable. he looks like the black and tan one that is sleeping in between the 2 dapple ones in the playpen. Bandit yes that is his name looks like he has a black mask on.

We were recently 'adopted' by a chihuahua-mini doxie mix. She's a sweetie and has the long, long body of the doxie and the chihuahua face. But when seh runs or plays, she's all doxie!! Only wieghs about 4 pounds and all of that is heart!

I think it's interesting how chiweenies can look so different from litter to litter. We have an 8 month old little girl and of all the pics of chiweenies I've seen there have only been a few that look remotely like her. Beautiful babies :)

@rmp1809 These pups are all adopted to great homes and will be 2yrs old in June. I have NEVER owned a dog in my life that wasn't from a shelter or in some other way homeless until these pups came into our lives. I am an animal advocate, have always been and always will be and thank you for your advice.

Even if a breeder adopts all the pups to good homes, those are homes shelter dogs doomed to be euthanized could have used.

I'm glad you save homeless dogs. More people need to do the same. My comment was also directed at the people watching this video that want to go out and buy one afterwards.

When you work at a shelter and see the hundreds of dogs killed monthly, including puppies, purebreeds and just really good dogs, it makes you sad to see more added to the world.

i just had a lit of 4 chiweenies 3 weeks ago 3 dapples and 1 regular all blue eyes very cute alot like on ur video mine were not planned so dont know much bout them is it true blue eyes may be blind?

SWEET! Ours were not planned either but it was so much fun and I miss them! They turned 1 yr old already!

I have never heard that blue eyes meant blind. I don't think so. I have seen pups with blue eyes at birth and they were fine.

Blue eyes is just from the dapple, its fine if they have blue eyes!

just never breed two dapples together because then you will have blind/ deaf and just very overall messed up puppies!

and please if you ever plan on breeding again make sure you do that kind of research!

I know your litter was not planned, and they sound so cute! but its important to know these things if your dog is not fixed

@gspank21 When I first saw this video the 2-dapple breeding issue immediately came to mind. I have dachshunds all my life - you really need to be careful when breeding them. I have a miniature now that has slightly longer than normal legs - she's faster than hell and a joy to be with!
