yup, love the bill! not as good as it used to be i.e the oldschool 30 min episodes and has gone downhill recently but im ever faithful to it. as reg is gonna leave soon and thats sad lol
Me too! I read somewhere that the actor who plays Reg tried to kill himself when he heard they were axing his character, I don't know if its true though.
jff stewat - aka - reg, had a consultation and was told that talkback thames would NOT be reknewing his contract, the actor has had bouts of depression of in the pat so has a slight mental health history he cut his wrists and alerted security who took him to hospital, i also think he has spent time in the priory but you cant believe everything you read in the media- reg is going soon sometime this month i believe, i will miss him-(

However my Auntie used to work in TV and she worked on The Bill at one point. Can't remember what exactly she did - production seceratry maybe.
bit of history for you- in '83 thames tv did the bill's pilot ''woodentop'' featuring PC jim carvers first day on the beat being shown the ropes by then (wpc ackland) in it a PC hollis is mentioned in 1984 september i think ''the bill'' was born with ''funny old business cops and robbers, and Reg appeared i dont know in that episode but certainly in the first series....
