His pacifist views came from his Christian conversion, which he accepted as part of the total package of marrying his fiancé. Thanks for recounting some amazing history.
@ncktbs I've been battling Lionsgate over that for awhile. It is available and live periodically, but gets taken down and put back up because of my challenge due on the grounds of Fair Use. Also, it have to do with what country your from.
i will agree that this man was a bad ass... you left out one part... when asked why he did this he repeild "to save lives" that is the most baddasss thing of them all!
I think Marcus Luttrell should be in this series. Definitely. A Navy SEAL who was in a 4-man team doing a recon mission. It was 200 against 4. Everybody died except for Marcus, who (shot something like 11 times) crawled down the mountain to a village, where he was captured. After being saved by the locals, he was saved by U.S. forces.
@SilentMusicNote Yeah that did happen. I was too lazy to fix it. Kind of like how I was to lazy to write my own material. :) Oh snap self deferential humor.

I will make it short: 1 machine gun MG42 was (and is) in a "group" mean:12 soldiers...so 34 (!!!) machine gunners means 408 soldiers (yes, there were "nests" where only MGs did work, but, means 2 men, but these were single and not in combination of many Mgs...it is just a lie!) So 34 Mgs, which were MG42 most likely, best weapon of it´s class till today and no "hiding" from it except of solid walls (7.62X45) and he did take them out one by one (impossible already) but no: not even in cover!

Oh god...i´m used to bad propaganda, but this tops it all...it is not even trying to be MAYBE realistic. It is ALL a lie. Oh gods and what a bad one! Not only it is "machine gunners", what means MG42, a weapon still in use as "MG3" (with very slight modifications) till today since till today it wasn´t possible to build a better gun in this class, nooo...it is 34!!! machine gunners...what a joke!!!!
@Godspittin: You´re right...this is about WW1...i missed that point somehow. I was following several links dealing with WW2 before i got here. No, MG42 and MG34 didn´t exist then...it was more likely the 08/15 or something in WW1. Still: I know of no valid record of such things as told in the clip.
Out of all the millions of people who've died throughout history at the hands of war, is it really that hard to believe that some of these stories are true?
WoW Just can't get over that there were not only Records of the 130 plus German Soldiers that were taken prisoner But also Combat Reports from Both English and American Troops not to mention testimonial from several British, American, and even Captured German Soldiers
I actually think that Mad Jack is so much better than Alvin York, he's braver than me and 100 more men and a real badass, but Jack Churchill is just freaking insane, he just didn't care about ANYTHING in the war, he just wanted to have fun.
where is part 3

@antikorper99 So, he was saved twice in a row without getting into trouble in between?
I don't think that qualifies for being on this list ;-)

It's called Rambo.
Arbadour 2 years ago
@Arbadour Rambo is the worst shots in movie history, he'd get killed as soon as tried to pull one of his hero stunts in real life.
the name of the movie I'm talking about is called Sgt York
Goodspittin 2 years ago
Why do you think he uses a bow? xD
Arbadour 2 years ago
@Arbadour What's this have to do with Alvin York?
Goodspittin 2 years ago
Because Rambo used a bow, because it'd be easier to aim,
Apparently.
Arbadour 2 years ago
@Goodspittin Rambo was in a war, I believe...he was a member of a Spec Ops team. Ironic, lmao.
