To all of them, the idea of cultivating a healthy relationship is as far removed from their minds as the planets! The more I know the truth of things the less they understand me....I could have never fathomed that discovering greater truths would become a curse and you can't help but feel angry and resentful at this. I'm sure ACIM is on to me on all this..so what? All I know is that I'm tired of caring...and studying ACIM is not exactly encouraging
It is no accident that you call yourself GnosisMan, as the only real purpose you could have as a hu"man" is to Know Thyself, or remember the Truth of who you Are. It is for this universal experience that the Course is here, not through studying it but by applying it specifically to every situation and thought in your mind. It really works! I feel a tremendous sense of resignation that no matter how much I study ACIM or any other of my 200-some books on spirituality and psychology, it will not make a difference-nobody cares!
I could be a saint endowed with the greatest of virtues and it would not make a partical of difference to women whom I've tried to understand-for years! And all my male friends want to do is drink and get laid!

Why not just show up for all of us to see and so put the matter of his existence to rest once and for all!! Where is this loving compassionate God? Why does he make ACIM so difficult for most to understand?!

Since you are familiar with ACIM, I don't really understand what you are asking for here. The Course cannot teach you the meaning of love, for that is what you are. It can help in the removal of the blocks to the awareness of love's presence. As this is accomplished, you will feel joyous. It works. We put our faith in that which we want to be true. Our beliefs will point the direction for our faith, which brings the experience that finally converts faith to belief. Is this helpful?

While I have no doubts that ACIM is genuine, I have grave reservations from those who invest too much on an emotional level on ACIM since there is more to ACIM than mere sentiment.
The grace of God is a completely reasonable idea, as depicted in the text of A Course in Miracles, and a totally joyous experience, as demonstrated through the practice of the workbook of A Course in Miracles. Yes, the Course is much more than sentiment, and to have a lasting experience of the joy of love, most of us must "do the work" of undoing, in which the Course excels.
I would offer to you, GnosisMan, the gift of having faith in an outcome of pure joy, and the strength to accept it now, which would allow you recognize and accept this outcome in others! Hope this is helpful... :)

I am interested, very interested, to know if there are ACIM practitioners out there who are practicing the art of healing according to the teachings of ACIM. I would like to hear testimonials from people that have experienced healing miracles from previous disorders, diseases or dysfunctions. Or is ACIM mainly a spiritual self-development tool? ACIM clearly states that "miracles" knows no boundaries and that pretty much anything is possible to manifest.
If your aim is to fix an effect you will miss. The course aims to change cause, if the effects alter due to this than so be it. All the things that happen to you while on the level of form have no meaning unless it teaches you the unreality of form! If you are dying from cancer or losing a limb it wont stop you from reaching your reality anymore than someone who has perfect health. The body was dreamt up by the mind.

What you need will be there, and like any good novel or movie when you read it again in the future you will see more than you did the time before.

When I listen to people on ACIM, I'm reminded of the faith of born again christians who invest too much in it at the expense of knowledge.
People of ACIM are always smiling and happy and lay ii on pretty thick...makes wonder if those in ACIM really know what's in ACIM.
It's not easy read. You really have to read x times and maybe -maybe- you will gain real insight of a paragraph.
When I read ACIM, I'm not smiling. That's because there is still much to know and mere faith is not enough.
