  • My dad showed this to me the other day after he found his old cassette player with this :p So awesome <3

  • cant believe i found this lol

  • Love it, the dude in the stockings...

  • Great Band! Probably dates me when I say that I wore out this album by listening it too much! Finally found the CD!!!! LOVE IT!

  • Looove the monks. Hudson-Ford was sick too

  • Do I really need to be permanently high?

  • YES,OF COURSE YOU DO!!!!!!!

  • Compare that guitar riff with the one from The Kinks - Tired Of Waiting For You. It's the same. THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mediattackrecords That was a different band . Alotof people consider the original Monks the first punk band. I think they're both good .

  • Wore out two LP's and two cassettes ( I was cool. Had moved on from 8-tracks! lol) of this album in 1979.

Saw them live three times that summer. I think once was at the Minden arena.

    Anyone remeber that?

    A very fun album.

Shockingly, there was some good music from this era.

  • i was the first person in Canada to buy this album. i'm sure of it.

  • @danceswithcritters Only if you were 9 in 1979 and owned it!! If not I beat you to it. Great album anyway.

  • i thought they were formed in the 60s

  • I was 7 and I actually remember this no way.

  • I loved this era the musical Landscape was so wide open and not so full of over produced Bullshit like there is now . This music was Raw and Honest . Thanks for Posting them .

  • Well this must be a diffrents The Monks becuase the one i know of is a American band formed By American g.is stationed in germany!! So is there two "The Monks"?

  • @TillDust156 yeah must be, I came here looking for the band you were looking for. have you seen their documentary Monks - The Transatlantic Feedback

  • @crouts0 Not yet, but I will.

  • Diese Band war ihrer Zeit um 20 Jahre voraus. In den 80-igern hätten sie sicher ähnlichen Erfolg gehabt wie GUN CLUB, etc.

  • it's a bloody shame when you can hardly find this music anymore

  • Three people don't have pockets...

  • I clicked on this thinking it was some song of theirs i didn't know, but these monks are pretty good. catchy tune and the lyrics are hysterical.

  • IS THIS ALDOUS SNOW?

    HAHAHA ;)

  • Long live The MONKS

  • my buddy at school started to sing this except he said " i got drugs in my turban an i don't know what to do with them" except he used his sweater as a turban. someone should make a remix of this song and call it " drugs in my turban" thumbs up if u think so too!! : )

  • drugs and whisky all around....

  • I have this vinyl :)) Inherited from one of my older sisters.

  • @djstilez jelaous. jelaous indeed!

  • This band is NOT THE MONKS. The Monks were American G.I.'s stationed in Germany in the early 60's. Read the book Black Monk Time. These imposter Monks really suck. Oh they rode the 'Punk' wave in the late 70's like a lot of other pussy bands at the time. Did they evolve say like Sparks? NNOO. This is fashion music. People trying to copy the punk movement that they heard on the Radio. Artificial rebellion. Middle class spoiled brat rebellion. There should be a lawsuit. Pussies.

  • @SpiritOMentos So this is not 'The Monks' that recorded Black Monk Time? please tell me what's going on here..

  • @SpiritOMentos Hi There! I'm curious as well. So these AREN"T the dudes who played "Oh, How to Do Now" in Germany in 1966?

I don't like BS imitations either.

  • @invitriol123 no this ain't the same band, the original monks from the 60's are way better!

  • I'm 15 and fucking love this band

    Today's shit just can't compare :)

  • @MCRpansyVenganza check out mc5

  • @MCRpansyVenganza Agreed my friend just showed me this band. And I'm in Love. <33 haha

  • These guys were so under rated it's insane.

  • uncles used to listen to this when they were doing drugs xD

  • I love this song my dad showed it to me this sumer and i sang it for weeks

  • just showing my kids that what we use to listen to,,back in the 80's lolol

  • I remember I was in like grade 3 or something when this came out. A friends older brother had the album and we would listen to this song. We thought it was so bad ass. My parents heard it and I was not allowed to listen to it anymore. :-)

  • Need to check out the "ORIGINAL" MONKS from the 60's! These guys are copycats!

  • great!! thanks for sharing....

  • I smoked it all already bitches!!!!!! <(^_<)

  • i'm addicted to this song!

  • My siblings and I often burst into song triggered by a word or phrase someone says. Several years ago my son and were watching some TV show when one of the characters said "I've got drugs in my pocket." Of course I had to starting singing "I've got drugs in my pocket and I don't kn.." "OH YOU'RE MAKING THAT UP!!" my disbelieving son interupted. LOL Now I've got proof that I'm not that talented.

    Oh wait....

  • THIS SONG IS AAAAWESOME!

  • Great tune!!! Really could take you back to a time........

  • Had this album when I was ten!! LOL!

  • @catdaddyegon haha me too.. i used to dance around my living room to it when i was eight, "drugs in my pocket" was my favourite LOL
