Doesn't a super hypo actually have to PROVE dominance by breeding to a wild type to be labeled a "super"? If not, then the absence of black pignmentation on the tail would allow me to label ALL the hypos in my collection as such. :D

he was a complete standout from the rest of the litter, but yes supers must be proven... no i dont call all my hypos supers... he was from a super salmon jungle x sunglow so he has a 50/50 shot at it and was sooo different in appearance that the super is obvious... his genetics are guaranteed as such, but i still tried to prove him out with sam... sheesh

@MrBeardeddragonspike im guessing u mean 100%? because his mom was a sunglow (albino + hypo) so all her babies are definite, or 100% het albino... that and he fathered a litter that had sunglows... so hes proven het albino too

sure is... salmon is a form of Hypomelanism, which is a color morph that reduces the black pigmentation in the boa

i want to breed george to a snow boa that is owned by a guy I know, but if that doesnt happen, I'll probably breed george to sam... the babies would be 1/2 Salmon Jungle 50% Het Albino and 1/2 Salmon 50% Het albino... definitely a nice litter:D

Thanks!:D There are two forms of hypomelanism in boa constrictors as of today. One is the 'Salmon' trait, the first of the two and made known by Rich Ihle. The second is a bit more rare and is known as 'Orange Tail'. I am not sure who made this one known, but they tend to be a bit more colorful and rare... thanks for askin!
