ff7 MAY be remade , it has been said in order for the remake to be successful they need the entire team of developers that are currently working on ff13. so even if square wanted 2 . right now they couldn't make a remake because they want the original designers etc.

Tesivo11 - That's actually a false rumor propagated by the ps3 technical demo a long time ago at E3.

They stated that there definitely is not any plans for a remake of FFVII, unfortunately.

You are incorrect about that statement. They never said a no it's impossible statement. There statement sayed that it's possible but it's not in the works right now. So in theory it's possible for a remake. But right now there putting there energy into FF13. So until FF13 is out the odds of us seeing a FF7 remake it next to none.

No they arnt going to go ahead with it, They only made that trailer to show what FF7 could be like with todays graphics but, The best games, Are and should always, be left alone

If the should be left alone why they have to remake ff4. But it would get more videos out there of kids beating it in 9hrs lol

I think its OK to port SNES games to GBA, only because of similar graphical power. The old games are best left largely alone, though, when porting it over. Also, a PS to PSP or PS2 port wouldn't be too bad for FF7, it really needs to be more accessable, though I would prefer if the graphics are, for the most part, untouched.

I agree with paladn95 here. I would prefer a PS to PS2 port then a PSP. Reason is because more people have PS2s then PSPs. So more sales. They can update the graphics but only the animation stuff. Leave the battles the like alone. It worked so leave it be. But in my personal opinion from a company sense if they did port FF7 it would go onto the PS3. It's there newest system and then they could make the excuse of making us shovel out like $70 bucks to buy the game since it's on the PS3 of course.

My biggest worry is that, regardless of what they port it to, people besides the people who played the original will complain, because the PS3 really only has good graphics, and not much else. Why do graphics matter so much? It's not like it would kill you if you just imagined how the characters look and sound IRL.

you'll always have people complain. I say make the port and if people complain they can do stuff which little kids shouldn't hear. lol, And people always want better graphics it's like human nature almost. That's at least in my opinion anyway.
