Luminary is definitely the better lotions out of the two. It contains 25 bronzers and also provides immediate HYDRATION! plus it contains silicone!!!(: IT"S MY FAV!! UV rays are attracted to moisture so don't ever go in the tanning bed without lotion. Without it, you're only getting 40% of your tan. I work at a tanning salon and I'm smart tan certified.

im 15 and i really dont think my mom would let me go to tanning beds, thats just her, would it be fine to use it outside?

@MiSsKaTieMoNsTeR I don't put anything on my face. I had a hard time at first getting it tan but if you go for awhile it will eventually catch up with the rest of you. But dont do it too much, you don't wanna expose your face alot

I use the Ritual one, & in 10 Min outside I Look beyond TANNED.!!!!!

hey ok so I'd say I'm pretty fair skinned, but if I lay out I can eventually work up a nice tan..I'm just wondering If this'll turn me orange. I already ordered it from amazon so guess it's too late, but if I use it everyday when I lay out will that make me orange or streaky at all...? and is this designed to be used outside or just as a like a jergens thing. I just wanna lay out and get dark fast. oh and also if it will run me orange do the ones without bronzers work well/fast. sorry for long

@clairenann i wouldn't use it every day, id alternate if you are going outside. do a tanning oil thats for out doors and the bronzer every other day. make sure to rub it in all over and really well!

@playmateprincesss well the ones i have used and like are secret crush by supre, aphrodisiac by designer skin and intrigue by designer skin. so far aphrodisiac is the best out of all i have used!

@playmateprincesss well remember stay within your budget! but i would say any lotion without bronzers at all. start building a natural base with a white lotion on a low level bed with uvb in it! :)

@mizzoctober420 I'd use it if you have a base tan cause you don't wanna turn orange! right now I'm strictly using accelorators and im using intrigue cause i ran out of aphrodisiac lol! im darker than i am in this video using no bronzers lol!

Luminary is supose to be really good stuff. Its the top selling bronzer in the salon i work in.

plz be careful when ordering from this website TANNINGLOTIONSOURCE check with the BBB they rated it an F alot of complaints

i placed an order on 12/21/10 and i now have a filed complait with my cc company i never got the produts and they will not return phone calls nor will the return emails i just looked them up at BBB and found out they had 22 delivery issues and 21 non-delivery products issues. be careful with the company.

Great review!!!! I am on the fence of getting the luminary lotion or the DS Black 20x lotion (I dont know if you have tried it) would you suggest the luminary one for someone who is already fairly tan? or do you think I would get super dark lol

@maxipoodle well, I'd try a packet of black then luminary. People do like black but over all, luminary is the more favored obviously. And honestly you can use this whenever but what I do is (cause im fair when i dont tan but i tan easily...) is use an accelerator for a while to get a base then switch off that with luminary or black. Cause using it every time you go will cause the DHA overload then you be come speckly haha! By the way, for 2011 their new mega bronzer is called obsidan 30x!

@sophzroxz Thanks for the reply, right now I am using Smile your Darker by DS and I like it but I just want faster results, so I think by what you replied, maybe using it and then trying Black or Luminary would be good right?....well I bought sample packs of both so I will see, again thanks alot!!!! :)

I hope that works out for you :) btw use an accelerator that has no bronzers in it cause i think the one you have may have it in it. but if you dont get speckly, keep it up :) i use supre secret crush by the way! its cheap and works great so check that out if youre lookin for a new accelerator

@maxipoodle thats great :) i hope you find which is your favorite!! and remember ease off the bronzing lotions if you do a "cocktail" (beds and a spray tan) cause that can give ya speckles :P anyways, happyy tanning :D !
